Allow people to work on reports

Suggestion Name: Allow some players to work on reports

Suggestion Description: Allow experienced players - for example players who have an account for a very long time, made many reports, etc... - to ban people, who got reported on the website.

Why should it be added?: Allowing more people to work on reports would get them done much quicker than now. Right now I have reports that are about a week old and still nothing happened. :/

Just because a player has had an account for a long time, doesn't mean they have experience.

 

Admins (and other members of the team) are the only ones who have the knowledge and experience to enforce punishments. Long-time players may now right from wrong, and ban from kick, but they do not know how to manage the report system, or deal with reports, and enforce bans etc..

 

This system is very unlikely to change anytime soon.

 

And by the way, all reports are looked at in-time. They aren't ignored, they just take a while to be seen by admins. Be patient, they will review them.

 

If something like this was to happen, it should be Moderators at a push that would be able to deal with web-reports. But definitely not players.

Nah. Even though the Admins are slow at processing the reports, I would rather leave it to them. Maybe a better idea for it would be for them to try and organise some sort of timetable for processing the reports, at least that way there could be people logging the reports all the time.

I dont like it,sorry!,to get / be an Admin you need to go on an long way,thats why only admins can edit reports,first you start as an Support / Moderator,then you will be choosen to be or not to be an "Admin".

Admin's have an life outside,they can't edit reports every day.

I would rather have a small administration team handling them slower, but more effectively, than random users handling them faster, but less effectively. Our administration team handle all reports seriously and fairly because it's their duty, random users will do as many as they can just for bragging rights. You also face the situation of;

 

What happens if user-x has to deal with a report against user-v, who happens to be their friend? Or against user-f who they hate?

 

Will they handle it fairly, or will they let their personal feelings get in the way and obscure the result?
