Traffic jam info

I Would like to see the map with traffic info so u can see where traffic jams are and can choose a different way. This will avoid massive chaos.

But then u need to switch tabs all over again and what I mean is a in-build traffic info system

I don't think TruckersMP will be adding a map overlay for traffic jams, you have that site you can use. Plus, if the ETS server has 2000 players on there is a good chance Rotterdam will be busy and the Calais road will be busy.

i think that there should be traffic reports like every 5 mins on the busy parts but people would still add to it for the fun of been in the jam even thought they have no reason too

Maybe in chat, every 5 minutes^ It could list the areas where there are more than X people, for example "Update: There are over 100 players in: Calais, Duisburg, Rotterdam"

Not to be rude by this, but i'm sure that we all know what will happen if the traffic jams are broadcasted.. We will get a massive increase of traffic in the area, based on the amount of people that deliberately like to cause more issues when there are jams.

I don't see this being something that will happen anytime soon.

At the moment the admins will put global messages over reminding people of the rules in the built up areas, when you see these I guess they are an indication... But specific traffic alerts won't happen anytime soon.

Although I kind of like the idea. As said above there is the map. Plus the radios such as Truckers.FM or Simulator Radio can give traffic updates if you send them in.

But let's face it, not everyone is able to listen to the radio stations for traffic reports, really, some kind of announcement in chat or some in game thing that can tell us how bad traffic is. 

 

Yeah it can cause traffic influx, but for those of us who play legit It is a help to know what's going on without having pull over, tab out just to look at the map every 5 minutes to work out what's going on.

Erm... for you playing legit it's more realistic to hear it on a radio station using the in-game feature so you don't have to tab out rather than having a chat announcement pop up which is not legitimate. @megadethsteve666

Well for me, I cannot run mp and in game radio as it lags, I only listen to my own favourite radio station on my tablet which doesn't cause lag. 

 

Also, not everyone can understand the radio as is, at least with some kind of system, we can either prepare or avoid.

Im short, no. Because ETS2MP Uses the base map and I think if they edited it it would a) Extend time taken for ets2mp to updated and B ) If they were to it would be put in as a mod and expand the files size. Atleast thats what I presume. It generally wont happen and if you are having issues with calis -> Duisburg then I would suggest setting your map to take the long

@tompa MP Team cannot edit the base map remember so for it to be rebuilt would be SCS's job.

I feel like even if there is no "map overlay" for traffic information, even if there was a system broadcast message posted on the screen or sent to your email saying something like "Caution: Traffic on E-65 to Rotterdam!"  Some like that could be done maybe?

Traffic is only caused by clowns who dangerously overtake or speed it should free flow but if you dont get what i mean watch this...

This is not implemented into the launcher or game itself, however, you can use external websites such as https://traffic.krashnz.com/ in order to get traffic updates and information about congested areas.
