JAKEBAB Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Needs to be a thing, so sick of being in the middle lane because there is a overpass coming up and some idiot UNDERtakes me then rams into me once he realizes he's going on to the off ramp, like seriously if you don't know the difference between undertaking and overtaking and which one is legal you should not be aloud to play mp! It's not that hard to get on the left side of me instead of the right! there's 3 f**king lanes!
whiskeyo Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 I have to admit, that it'd make the thing much better than it is now. Players just come to MP to drive around and relax and big part of 'ordinary' players know at least 80% of rules, but on the other hand, a lot of younger people have no idea about rules and they drive as it was Need For Speed. I know that they can check answers online, but it will give them some basic information, so they'll know just a bit - better than nothing “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” ― Albert Einstein “Anyone who thinks sitting in church can make you a Christian must also think that sitting in a garage can make you a car.” ― Garrison Keillor “Stupidity isn't punishable by death. If it was, there would be a hell of a population drop.” ― Laurell K. Hamilton
Mossarelli Posted January 13, 2016 Author Report Posted January 13, 2016 Rolling on floor laughing, the game is even worse now. Half the fun of the game is watching people failing at playing the game. 1
m341ehw Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 Maybe a driving licence to get on a more realistic server but lets remember this is a game...... if it was a simulator we would be jumping out of the cab checking our trailers are coupled...... raising/lower the landing legs...... connecting the suzies....... pulling away with the trailer brake on after reversing under the trailer to make sure the pin is in..... putting any ADR notices on the front of the units...... being restricted to the "real" WTD...... receiving tachograph fines......... speeding gets a fine and points! (what do we do when we totted up to a ban? Do we leave the game for 3 or for years?) lets not forget that this same is 15% real simulator! Mr_Bored_UK is "Living the dream"
TeamSwagCookies Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 -1 When people want to play a mod they would like to play a mod, they don't really want to be spending time to do a test... when people play simulator like this they have a basic knowledge of theory within driving so road markings and sign are familiar. The only people that do not know this sort of things is people that want to come on to troll/annoy people! But good suggestion overall just dont think it would be suitable for this community!
TheVitoszPl Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 +1 Very good It would prevent from people trolling, blocking, ramming and lots more and if you got below 5 you csnt get the mod that would be fantastic,It would also save a lot of time and jobs to the admins.
SgtBreadStick Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) +1 and -1 the test is great but also the bad thing is that in the forum post it has answers also the answers should be at the end of the test just giving you a little tip Edited August 1, 2016 by SgtBreadStick Colors!
TheGamingFouR Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 -1, I know where you are coming from with trying to make the servers better by having players that can drive, however, I find the most of the players in ETS and ATS MP can drive but drive horribly for their own entertainment and to troll other people. Also, With regards the road signs, we would have to do one for every country because all (I think) the road signs are different dependant on what country you are in. And here's the one that bothers me a bit, Some people who play TMP dont actually drive IRL which in short means that they would not know what some of the road signs meant. (Also, Quite a lot of people don't read the road signs. Matthew Prestwood, Freelance Website Developer matthewstridgen.co.uk
tfmpillow Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 I really like that idea, but some players never learn. They did the driving test with success, and when they are in the game they can do whatever they want: Crash into people, cutting off everybody and so on. Luckely we've got admins to fix that problem, but an admin isn't always online! Admin are humans too, so they can't be online all day. But after all it's a good idea man! tfmpillow | Retired Team Member Rules | Recruitment | Support | Feedback | Meet the Team | Guides | Suggestions
Kael. Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 Certainly will reduce unqualified truck drivers, I see hundreds of players who run bad, stop the truck in the road, I liked it +1 Previous classification.: Idiomas: Português e Inglês | Discórdia: _amexz_ Bem-vindo e boa condução!
Scandinavian Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 -1 That would eman that alot fewer players would join the mod which is bad. I took a pill in ibiza

Scandinavian Posted July 31, 2016 Report Posted July 31, 2016 Regards to the above. I would rather have more inexperienced drivers and the trollers would as we do now, get banned. (Harsher punishments might be good tought) I took a pill in ibiza
Nsomnia Redline Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 I just want to add some Feedback, I'm currently on my own road to becoming a real trucker. This just interests me. I was some what shocked that ETS2/ATS didn't have some sort of CDL training. The drive training I mean. Starting and backing and some basic drive test. I get that forcing people would be a bad idea, Though it worked great for Gran Turismo. Even just a learning center for people who wish to go and learn how to operate trucks in this game that simulated a drive test with instruction. It does not have to be greatly real. But in this case I agree it would be nice if people started in one server and then graduate to another when they decided to take some sort of drive test to show the computer that they can handle driving within certain perimeters. Parking test: Turing on your truck parking it and maneuvering in a lot > Without trailer Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces: Moving with a trailer in tight quarters, Backing a trailer in to drop zones > with the difficulty set as hard as the driver is ever willing to go. Easy medium hard. Road test: Driving in your lane, lane changes, shifting, stopping at lights, signaling, merging > Basic road stuff My .02 But this seams like just fun rant then an improvement. There would probably have to be structure for this already in the game.
Mudkip_ Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 who would do these tests? because no staff will just want to watch people drive.
TrademarkGamer Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 We have 1 million members so how are we going to test all these people
Gun Powder Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 14 minutes ago, krazymudkip said: que haría estas pruebas? porque no hay personal será sólo quieren ver a la gente en coche. There is neither one will do these tests, it would be useless. I just think !!!
the bored hermit Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 Ye it may work but it's a bit late now we can't get everyone who plays now to do it lol and there is a million
Guest Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 +1 for me, good idea, but TruckersMP will need some staff to do the driving test with many people. But after that, it will reduce unskilled drivers. But not trolls. Sometimes they could drive, if they want, and they will pass the driving test and then mess around on TruckersMP roads anyway.
NCC-1701 Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 -1 for the "driving test" suggestion. It is unrealistic to find enough staff for this kind of test because there are too many drivers every day. Best Regards from Germany, SlatsNflaps
heyhococo Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 There'd be a huge backlog of people awaiting testing to join, meaning much more work for the already busy admins, and also this would mean less admins are available for their actual work- being in game (Hence the name, In Game Administrator). I also believe this has been suggested and rejected a lot before because it isn't a viable option.
Calixta97 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 I already suggested this . maybe a year ago. but they rejected it, due to lack of information I gave. hahaha Thank's to you, you suggest it again. with full of info. +1 Add me on Steam Follow Me on Twitter
mutlob Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 -1 from me. It's a game, you don't need a license to play it, you don't need to take a test. Let the admins do their job. 1
Alv4s0r Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 -1, Allow MP for player which played not 2 hour but about 1 day at SP HOW TO BE IN-GAME ADMIN | COMMUNITY TEAM RECRUITMENT | HOW TO APPEAL BAN ARE WE CRAZY ? GAMESERVERS FOR FREE !
BOSSENTERPRiSES Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 -1. TruckersMP is not a driving school, TruckersMP allows people to play with other players and friends. This way, the joy of driving increases. Also, In-Game rules exist to prevent unwanted actions which can be performed by amateur and thoughtless players.
