Suggestion Name:

• Pilot company in/for Euro Truck Simulator 2 

Suggestion Description:

• At my first thread liked @Glanshon and @3567 my idea to open an pilot company to support a convoy by sizes. I think too this would be a great idea.

Why should it be added?:

• This is a great question... Why ?

         I think it's should be added because so many car driver's need jobs and with this company can they help the convoy out and don't need to "useless traffic". 

    For Example :

• Cooper's Freightmaster convoy need some pilot drivers but they have no one they can't drive a car, so can Cooper's call us to order us to support the convoy from start to destination. The rules for the car is the same, no block, no ramming and similar what against the rules. The pilots driver will call by sizes by Cooper's Freightmaster the convoy !

Well, you don't really need to ask to open up a company of your own, you just need to be aware of the rules of MP.

 

Inappropriate Convoy Management

Groups (And Individuals) which offer services such as piloting a convoy, or directing trucks during a convoy are not allowed to block, or slow down, traffic in any way, shape, or form.

 

When ever I think of a pilot car they block traffic because they need to make room for an oversized load (which is what pilot cars are used for IRL). TBH, the trucks (in ETS 2 at least) can be their own pilot since they have beacons. Since you're not allowed to block traffic what would you do that a truck can't.

IMO, the rules should be changed for pilot cars to where the car MUST:

• Have the Pilot Car skin.
• Have lights and beacons on.
• Be piloting a convoy of 6 or more trucks

To be able to block ONE lane of traffic so the convoy can safely merge without getting broken up. Otherwise, there is no real use to the pilot car TBH.

IRL (In Real Life) TBH (To Be Honest).    

 

The company could be useful, but it all depends on the community, will they use it? Some will use this company if you were to make it, but some VTCs already have their own pilot car for their convoys. I still would love to see a pilot car rule get added to the game where they could block traffic if certain factors exist for the certain convoy they are piloting.

@Trucking Gekco Not even admins are allowed to block the road unless given permission from the devs. So can't see this rule being added to MP any time soon tbh.

I dont think that a Pilot Company is needed. Because all convoys have 2+ pilots who want to drive a pilot. But if there is a Pilot Company, I have no problems with it.

There are pilot company's out there such as pilot services that offer piloting for VTC's for convoys. Alternatively,  you can always make your own.

I do agree on Pilot cars having the privilege of blocking traffic in some cases, like when at an x intersection, the pilot should be able to block oncoming traffic from either side so the convoy can safely pass... 
Also players who have been given pilot privileges should keep all of their game time as a pilot recorded to make sure any evidence would be present for anything... In addition, pilot reports on players who troll on the roads should take precedence over normal reports on the website, given they have read all the rules and how to properly report someone... I guess that in order to become a pilot on theese terms you should pass a test of sorts

thats really all i can suggest on this... any pilots who are seen breaking the rules in a pilot car should be stripped of their pilot status permanently tho... unless they can provide evidence of not doing anything wrong - that is where the recording comes in... and as i stated before "Pilots need to have all of their driving recorded in a pilot car at all times"

This is not really a suggestion for TruckersMP and its servers. If you want to create a virtual trucking company, feel free to do so as there are plenty of external sites which offer such services. However, there is not really anything TruckersMP can do about your pilot cars. The only thing which could happen is that in-game admins ban some people who are abusing the pilot paint job by blocking roads or anything similar.
