ESS5
i have new hobby, that is driving slowly around 55-60 km/h on 320hp mercedes actros with 20t cargo while listening to radio. now i want to drive even slower. but i dont want to get reported/kicked/banned for "Blocking". so come up the question : what is the minimum speed allowed in game? most country have minimum speed of 30~40 km/h. but not sure if that will work in game. seriously, 55-60km/h is enough to cause 1 - 3 vehicles pilling up behind, because some people decide to tailgating for 3-5 minutes before overtake me. nvm, driving at 80km/h have the same result already ask МгҤαгѵ, he said about 20mph/ 40kph is fine. "just keep moving" he said. want to know other's opinion about this.
Cyrusj
This is a question for our In-Game Admins. But i would imagine as long as it is within reason, you should be fine. Like MrHarv said, as long as you're moving and not causing an issue for other players. And for those who like to tailgate, you could pull to the side and let them pass. stilldre1976
20Mphs fine on main roads or motorways but for single country long lanes I would think it would be down more to your driving that speed ie if your willing to pull in to let trucks pass etc sure no body would have a problem. Glanshon
Expanding on @stilldre1976's post, just remember to only pull in when it is safe and suitable to do so. You don't want to end up stranded and having to hit F7 + ENTER. JarFull
Why would you choose to drive so slow? But if you like that , then that's just your driving style. Although I do have to see on single country lanes you may want to think about speeding up, a lot of people will risk overtaking and if there's on-coming vehicles it could easily result in you being cut up. Fezz
If you want to drive slowly, then just do what the speed limit says, that way you're not razzin, and not going slow either.
Dunchin
If people happen to overtake you, try to slow down a bit and pull over so then they can pass.
sgpch1983
i would recommend hazard lights on always on highways and maybe even driving on the shoulder if your slower than 60kmh.

Those roads are usually the most restricted in regards to speed limits. In Germany, they are 60 Km/h limited and that's my speed when I drive on them. If someone is coming faster, it's their problem, not mine. They want to overtake? Fine, I won't make things difficult to them and wherever possible I'll try to make it easier, but if they crash into my truck because of a dangerous overtaking, I'll have video evidence to report them for reckless driving and ramming. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend going slower than 60 Km/h on highways, I can't tell about other countries, in Spain, you must do 60 Km/h at least on highways, unless you're hauling some special cargo (oversized/overweighted) and in that case you must be escorted by a pilot car. JarFull
^Sometimes I think people driving slower are more danger than people going fast, although not in all cases as some treat the game as if its a race game. 60 Km/h seems quite slow to me, personally. But it's up to you what speed you drive as long as it's not reckless.
El1teZombiezHD
You're not going to get banned for 'going too slow' - if it seems that you are trolling, then thats where the issue occurs. Just dont be doing 10mph on a highway of 70mph limit Kind Regards, El1teZombiezHD [TruckersMP Retired Team Member (Ex-Game Moderator)] If you are replying to me, please @mention me (@El1teZombiezHD ) or quote my message otherwise I may not respond
ESS5
I drive slow because it's more relaxing this way, which is nice. the multiplayer is getting harsh, there are more bad driver. accident everywhere, even at less crowed place. playing this game is getting more "stressful" than "fun". my solution to this is just drive slow and enjoy the detail of your truck and the environment while listening to the radio. being slow help me dodge accident and trolls too. for the tailgating issue, i always give way, even risking my truck getting hit by traffic sign. but some of them remain persistent behind my truck. many people already discuss this at other topic. i go to 60-65km/h on highway, and 55-60km/h on country road. might change after there are are clear rules about this. and no way, 10 mph is too hardcore even for me. Leff12345
Maybe add a tag saying; "Max xx mph/km/h" so people are aware of it, and they don't think you're trolling or similar. And could also be useful for situations were Admins see you, they see your tag, and then hopefully understand a bit better why you are driving slow, so it's clear that you don't troll. But it's up to you what speed you drive as long as it's not reckless. You remind me of some people here, in Spain... There's a road surrounding Madrid, the speed limit is 80 Km/h and even lower in some places. But most drivers use it as if it were a highway (it's 3 or 4 lanes for each way) and drive 120 Km/h. And then, they complain about speed tickets and about people respecting the speed limits. My brother has never got a speed ticket (more than 20 years driving) because he always respects the limits. A friend in Madrid told me "Your brother is a danger in M30 if he drives by the speed limits". My answer: "My brother is not the danger. All other drivers, going 40 Km/h over the speed limit, those are the danger". The same thing happens in main avenues inside the city. The speed limit is 50 Km/h, but most drivers go way faster than that. And honking and insulting the poor one that goes 50 Km/h... I guess the game is not so different from real life, after all. ESS5
Already put "320hp 20t" tag, maybe i will add the speed. but i'm a bit skeptical about the tag. some people going too fast that the tag pop up at the last second before they getting too close or they just ignore it completely. supposedly beacon come to play for slow moving vehicle. but people abuse the usage of beacon so much it become useless now. Shail
In Spain minimun speed allowed on highways is 60km/h. You can drive slower but you have to leave the highway on the following exit, while this you must turn on your hazard lights. If you are playing on Eu2, take care with people driving +130km/h and be ready for rear ends.
Killua // Ireland ^_^
Well this is what usually happens with slow drivers here and no one overtakes as they are too close With the tags and if you move in safely to let those going faster past I don't see how it should be a problem, be careful on EU2 tho as people can go quite fast
Syntog
There is a difference between going slow and blocking. Blocking is when you prevent from letting another player pass, ie moving in front of them when they're trying overtake or just stopping in the road. Happy (slow) trucking! Smalley
You could always put "Slow vehicle" in tag and then put your hazards on if you would like to go slow. I feel as though it's the best option as it alerts other players and once the player gets the chance to overtake they can overtake without any problems. It depends if you have a really heavy trailer or not.
TheDarkAngel7
In Wisconsin for the US, I think the minimum the posted minimum on the interstate is 45 MPH and the speed limit is 70 MPH (don't know if that varies anywhere), in the real world however you don't want to be driving slow because it holds up traffic. So if someone coming up from behind isn't paying attention (ex. checking their text messages), they could hit you right in the rear. In the real world going too slow is just as dangerous as going too fast, and a cop can pull you over for going too slow. In game however I don't know, that'd be a question for the admins. ~ TheDarkAngel7 ~
Dunchin
@rburke5786 Great to hear. Where I live, which is New York also in the United States, I think speed limits are very low at certain areas. Example here is one in Central Park if I'm not mistaken. ESS5
a little google-fu and found this useful website http://www.drivingtesttips.biz/minimum-speed-limits-driving-too-slow.html it really depend on the road & traffic condition. after few test run, I recommend the minimum speed somewhere around 45-60 kmh for country road & high density area (europort-rotterdam). for highway, 70 kmh nothing to enjoy in highway anyway. btw this is the amount of space I give for people behind. not only I drive slow and have short trailer, some people just keep tailgating until i hit those little street post. even when there are no oncoming traffic. I use hazard light when truck start slowing down at the hill. don't want to abuse it too much like what people did to beacon light.
Prime
As long as you keep moving there is no problem. If others overtake you on small roads and cause accidents then they are bannable for reckless driving. Nice to hear it from an admin, so if other driver while overtaking causes an accident it's his fault and not mine for driving slowly
