Suggestion Name: Skins to help the server.

Suggestion Description: Perhaps it would be good to support hosting skins on servers for companys who pay an anual fee of 5-10$. The one who pays for his "company" will be the one who delivers the whitelist of users who will be able to apply the skin to the admins. The admins add the skins to the server mods and set up the whitelist accordingly.
Any example images: No
Why should it be added?:It would help run the server with all of the money, and would make driving more realistic and interesting

I Maybe crowded isn't the right word, clunky or unprofessional is better I think

@TrademarkGamer Oh I see what you mean, having a few trucks with stickers in a mass server of default ETS2 skins would not look pretty at all, and I can't help but agree with you on that one. But then again, it would motivate more truckers to donate money for future updates and server improvements (eg. adding in more slots). So yeah, maybe it would help even tho it wouldn't be the best thing ever.

I know you dont see just trucks in real life, but you do get just hire/standard trucks in real life next to a fully skinnec personal company truck, so i dont agree with unprofessional.

my take on this is:

tmp needs more devs to do that sort of thing. adding, deleting users that can use the skin(s) is time consuming.

drivers from vtc will want to add the skin(s) after they join which will not happen right away(adding users to whitelist, devs online to do it).

there was a suggestion with a mod whitelist so that is you don't have the skin or trailer or truck(?) to see default ones. hope they make it happen, that way you and your friends can use skins, trailers, trucks(no sure, have to find it again and read it).

IMO that would be a lot better, cleaner and easier to do.

@legocube Check the "Frequently suggested things" post.

Add company skins:
If we where to add every VTC's skin, the download would be quite big, it would also have to be maintained over a long period of time and would add complexities to the testing process.

@Cyrusjmy point was not to have all the skins(or mods) in the client.

the suggestion i was referring adds a .txt file(if i'm not wrong)(can't seem to find the topic right now) on the server side with lines of mods if users have them they see each other with them on, if not default skins and stuff.

later edit: found it:

You can achieve some really neat looks by customizing the default truck skins. No need to deploy and maintain a library of custom skins just to make a few people happy. I also dislike custom servers in FPS games which make me download and install hundreds of megabytes of custom skins, soundboards and models just to eg.: hear Unreal Tournament sounds in CS.
