Can't run multiplayer

I am getting this error message when I launch multiplayer, it says I don't have a steam api, where do i get that?

Hi, I had this exact same issue. For me, it was because I had 2 of the same ETS2 copies on my computer, and the mp mod was installing into the version which had been downloaded from the SCS website and not from steam.

So basically, check you select the right folder for ETS2 when you install it. The pathway should select the ETS2 folder under programfiles X86

Maybe Steam Api64.dll removed. you can see it in this directory : Program Files/steam/steam apps/common/Euro Truck Simulator 2

Yes I had 2 copies installed, I have deleted both and installing from steam

 

where am i meant to connect it to? it says steam there but i found the game in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
