Glanshon
Are you sure you've applied the handbrake and selected the correct gear to pull off a hill with before using the accelerator? Glanshon
That'd be why Simple Auto is useless for hill starts. Read the Rules - Report a Driver - Appeal a Ban - Contact Support Facebook - Twitter - YouTube - Steam

Spirit Omega Wolf
How to hill start on an incline: 1) Apply the handbrake 2) Go into a low gear 3) Press the accelerator about 1/2 way to build up the revs 4) Release the handbrake 5) as your truck stars moving forwards (Hopefully) add more throttle until your up the hill. MRKeepOut
Well, I´ve the same problem of you sometimes, I always play with heavy loads like 80tons, 90 often 100 tons(!)... so all I have to do is: 1 - Press the brake 2 - Press U to lift the 5 wheel (mid-lift chassis 6x2/4) 3 - Put at first gear 4 - Pressing the brake, at the same time I press the gas pedal 5 - Then I release the brake That´s all I have to do to deal with it ^^ Best regards, mrkeepout. 8i11y
The automatic shifting in ETS2 even shifts up to early imo

8i11y
Adaptive transmission ? Don't saw that option.. will have a look at the options and try it
xhavefunx
Yes sir, it means the transmission will adapt to the amount of throttle you put in. Full throttle = transmission will go all the way to 2000rpm
8i11y
Mh then it would always go to 20000 because I play with keyboard
xhavefunx
You can assign up- and downshift buttons to example your left Shift and CTRL key. So each time you want the truck to shift gear at the moment you require it to, although it's on automatic transmission, you just up or downshift. It doesn't require manual transmission for it to react. Also; You can set your cruisecontrol at 90 km/h for example. When you come to a stop, and want full power to gain speed on the highway again, you can just reset your cruisecontrol at around 60 km/h for example and it will normally shift at 1500rpm again
Guest
Hmmm i am thinking its your gears, because in simple auto it wouldn't do that, if i were you assign a button for Switchin auto to manual and see how that goes!
NetyTV
What we would do without hand brake.. Search game settings.
SgtBreadStick
i use semi-auto and switch to manual sometimes when i am stuck on a hill but auto is ok with me and i am used to it
separnz
simple just use manual is more realistic however i use semi automatic as i have a controller and having control over your revs feels nice and when i was playing keyboard i used shift and ctrl keys, on a side note can you guys use the red line part of the revs? videogamer
the red line is the max rpm and if you leave it in the red for 2 long you will damage the engine but since this isn't real life i don't know how SCS has coded it
