Hey,

i`ve got an idea to make the report system better.

Suggestion Name: More people can report an user.
Suggestion Description: When 2 persons report an user, then the second one gets the message: The player has been already reported. But it was well, if more users can report an user. Then the admin can see, how many users reported an user. And then he knows that this is a real/important report.
Any example images: Ne
Why should it be added?: Because people who troll/ramm/block many users can get banned faster.

I hope you understand my request.

Best regards

Julian

-1 from me I'm afraid.

This would create 10x the amount of reports that the admins have to deal with. Once a user has been reported once with evidence, they will be banned. There is no need for multiple users to report someone that would just end up in the same punishment being given as a result.

TL;DR: One report is plenty.

that's totally not necessary. This had been suggested and rejected before. Please use the search function before creating a new topic.

And also, people will just spam the system non-stop to hope that an admin will come and help, but actually this is not helpful at all, but this will also increase unnecessary work loads to admins.

Hi,

first i want to say thank you for your fast replies.

@Penguinexpert1 Maybe i explained it wrong. But on the first report would only added a 2, 3, 4...when 2,3,4, users reported an user.

@subtlegta I`m sorry. But how could you spam? Only another user can report someone a second time.

Best regards

that's what you will do only. Some other people will just keep on pressing the report button until an admin comes. One report for one user is just enough. There's also a report system on our website, so why not go there and wait for the reports getting accepted???

This will be rejected as this had been suggested before.

-1 Even IF 2 people can send in a report on a user, it still isn't going to make the admins come running any faster, especially if theyre dealing with other incidents across the map. If someone is clearly breaking the rules and yet someone else has already used the in game report system, just either take screenshots that prove what is happening or record a video, either way you can then simply get the persons TMPID and report them with your evidence on the site report system.

1 report per  incident is enough, if admins have to scroll through multiple reports on the same incident, it just takes more time than if one person reports it in.

Alternatively you could say that if an incident isn't cleared after x time, say theres been a wreck at EP and theres no admins online at the time yet the IGRS (In Game Report System) is used, then the report system for that player is reopened so that when an admin is around, they can see that something is wrong. but really, 1 report is fine.

Taking it a step further you could say that to stop people getting confused about the Ingame system, once a user has reported someone for an incident, the report option is greyed out for all users who are trying to report the offending party, this would force people to stop trying to spam reports AND get people to use the website report system more often.

The way this would need to work, if the developers took it, is that a user can only report a user once and others can report the user as well and it adds a 1 or something to the report count. You can't report a user more than once as it's considered spamming the report and would be much to open for abuse. However, there is still abuse for this system as 2 friends that are ramming can both report a user and that user would be looked at before the rammers which isn't fair.

Thank you all for your replies.

@subtlegta No. Player A cannot report player B 2 times. But Player C can report player B a second time.

Spam: Player A is not allowed to report Player, B,C,D,E,F,G... without a reason.

@megadethsteve666 No admin has to scroll through reports on the same incident. They only see the first report and there is a number how much other player reported him.

@Clarkinator Yes, your case example isn't fair. But the player who gets rammed can record this and report him on the website. But if there is someone blocking 10 users it`s more important to ban him, then someone who blocks 2 users. The 2 users can report him then on the website.

Best regards

^Still it takes time for admins to have to scroll through every report. Not to mention that it isn't going to summon an admin any faster than just sending one report. Your idea isn't the most efficient way to deal with this by no means at all. Any system that allows 1 or more users to report the same person is open to abuse by trolls, like Clarkinator said, if 2 friends report 1 user, even though the 2 friends are the cause of the issue, by definition, their reports will be seen first over the victims report, your answer to that situation will not work, if the admin acts upon the 2 friends` reports, the victim doesn't stand a chance, the best case scenario would be that the victim was recording and reported on the site what happened and gets the friends banned also, depending on whether the admin sees a retaliation aimed at the 2 friends.

The best fix to the ingame system is a fairly simple one, if a report sent by a user via the ingame system isn't seen by an admin within a set period of time, then the user is able to resend the report once that time period is up, much like a cooldown timer. If anyone has ever played Battlefield 3 and been team switched, theres a cooldown between switching teams and when you are able to switch back again. All this does is allow a prolonged incident more of a chance of being dealt with than the current system, instead of the system saying "this player has already been reported", with the cooldown, it will give a countdown on the and a message along the lines of "player already reported, time left till report is available: X:XX) that way, people know that that user has been reported and that theres another opportunity for them to be reported again after a certain period of time.

-1 im afraid.

I think is good idea to do this but im afraid that might be A little big time that should be. Well even you think that about making 2 reports (spam) is forbidden but I did it and I didnt get a warning or something like that. Infact one player is enough for a report.

We can report 2 players in a report only if they do something together. For example blocking.

-1 sorry but people have to have it fairly so 1 report per person it also stops spam unless they have a count to show how many reports they have got but it won't happen maybe more report options on it could work like spam or trolling like on website report but you can select more than one option.

-1 for me.

Even though the report system in-game isn't really effective and I when I report someone, it doesn't really matter, because the player don't get banned or kicked anyway. But the system on truckers.mp website is fine and you can report people there rather than in-game. Anyway, for me the suggestion doesn't really make sense.

I like the idea, but as some people like @Penguinexpert1 said, that would cause a huge amount of reports for admins to check. Maybe the solution would be, if a player gets reported more than once, then don't display it more than once, but show something like "reported x times". Anyway I also think that the in-game report system is not well made at all.

Usually findable between Western Germany and Denmark.

The current system saves a reply demo file when a report gets submitted. When another new report gets submitted, that file would either be replaced or entirely corrupted. In order to get two or even more demos, there would need to be much more developing effort for something that is only beneficial for very rare severe cases.

Rejected.
