Cant play ETS 2 Multiplayer

I cannot play ETS 2 Multiplayer, due to whenever i start the launcher, this pops up: "Could not inject dll into the game process (initialization of client failed). Please try launching the game again. If this problem still occurs, please try reinstalling the mod."
I did both. I restarted the game. Nothing. I reinstalled ATS and ETS2, and nothing. I can play ATS but not ETS. Do keep in mind i bought ETS 2 from amazon (It was a few years ago and i was stupid back then :p) but that shouldnt affect anything, should it? Any help appreciated. PS, yes i did try starting it with administrative rights

You need to activate the game on Steam.

I can not see ETS2 in your steam library. You didn't link the game to your TruckersMp profile.

If you are using family share , you can not play the multiplayer mod. You need to buy it.

I had put in the post that i had bought the game off of Amazon. Should that not allow me to play ets 2?
