Unfair banning?

Hi,

 

I got banned yesterday for overtaking in EP, MP.

 

But after i appealed the ban, i got re-banned for a month rather than a day due to my ban history?

 

are moderators allowed to do that?

 

Not trying to hate on anyone but i'm just a but upset at the situation.
