Adamw8390 Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 We all know there's peak times on servers where they're full. I constantly find myself in Rotterdam stuck in queues because some noobs are blocking Europoort. Why isn't this being solved? There's no more space for admins to join. I think there needs to be either a vote-to-kick, admins able to access cctv and kick people from there or a few reserved spaces for admins. I've tried becoming admin myself but got nowhere.
DFS_TV Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 There are already Admin reserved spots. I believe there are a minimum of 5 reserved spots available for Administrators. zyprexia Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Depending of the current server code, it shouldn't be that hard to develop. During the 'handshake' of the session start after the credentials are checked (and the server knows who is connected) it should be fairly easy to 'categorize' clients. One have to assign a default category (regular/normal player) pool which is also used as an overflow category if other reserved category pools are full. Other categories can be admin and developers. Let's say you want to reserve spots for at least 5 admins and 2 developers (don't know how large the dev team is) and there are already 5 admins online, than the 6th admin needs a free spot in the 'regular' pool. But his (hers) changes to connect are the same as the regular players. Based on the current 2500 client limit, the general pool will allow a maximum amount of 2493 (2500 - 5 (admins) - 2 (devs)) clients. On request, I'm more than happy to provide more in-depth information about building prioritized (grid based) server systems to the ETS2MP dev team. 510 Horses and one lucky bird at work Simulators: Prepar3d V4, X-Plane 11, DCS 1.5 + 2.x, ETS2, ATS, Farming Simulator 17, Omsi 1 + 2 System: Intel i7-6700K @ 4700Mhz, 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, GTX970, HP LP2475w monitor (1920x1200) Devices: Logitech G27, SKRS Shifter, CH Products Throttle Quadrant, Trustmaster Hotas Joystick, TrackIR Storage: 2 x SM961 - 250GB (raid 0), Samsung 850 pro 1TB disk, Samsung 850 EVO 2TB disk.
