Babu Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Suggestion Name: Steam family shareSuggestion Description: Adding compatibility for steam's family shareAny example images: nope, unless you wanna see a tutorial on how to share?...Why should it be added?: Frustrating when you have to sign into someone else's account JUST to play a single game, and then switch back in... and again. I tried playing on my personal account, tried logging in, and "Invalid Credentials" popped up. But, signed into my bro's steam account, tried signing in, and voila! And no, I don't wanna spend more money just for a game that "I" already have. Edit: if security is a problem, why not give users the ability to whitelist accounts that can use their username? Scullllly Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 This wouldn't be accepted as this would be a way for people to ban evade. When you register it checks the account to see if it 'owns' the game and family share doesn't allow it.
HumaneWolf Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 At least from what I can see, there is no endpoint or way for us to see if you have the game through family share in the Steam Web API. One MP account per steam account with the game is the rule, rejected. HumaneWolf - Website - Twitter - GitHub Ex-Developer
