Cannot Validate Game Version

When ever I click on the euro truck simulator desktop icon I wait about 10 seconds then I get a , Cannot Validate Game Version , Would You Like To Try Again , Yes , No. I have tried everything any ideas

Try to reinstall MP launcher.

I got that aswell, Just wait about 10 minutes, then try again. If it didnt Work re-install the MP launcher.

No need to reinstall straight away, some times if you get to excited and click the launcher a few to many times it takes its time then it thinks the game is already runing.

So open task manager and end any process involving ETS2,it may be lagging behind.

Often steam lags behind I do the same with that end it all run steam again good as new

That is indeed true.

Just a addon: Try to clear cache, via steam > Euro Truck simulator 2 > Right click > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache..
