How to use the CB Radio

       Here in Canada we go by these rules most people on the CB don't even follow them and swear and violate the rules.

2. FCC CB

I haven't heard that it is, but is it possible to turn radio volume up/down with keyboard, is this something that may happen in the future, or am I SOL? I prefer to leave my radio on but sometimes you run into a group of people that are to loud or they speak a different language, and it'd be nice to just hit a key, turn the volume down, vs. pull over, hit tab, and then either mouse over to shit CB of or turn volume down.

Anybody know the answer to rubberburner89's question?  In my game, the volume is too low, and I can't hear the people that are trying to talk over the CB.  Is there a CB volume up and down button?

The CB radio volume control is based on sliders, inside the Sound section (Voice volume and Microphone volume) of the MP settings (TAB screen), so there is no way to turn it up/down with the keyboard. I think this answers also @soupflakes question.

Ok, I have tried this in the tab section, and reduced the engine noise way down to almost nothing to try to hear it, and no change in the sound.  Is there a bug perhaps?

^ I think the engine sound is for other players, not your truck. If you want to turn down your own engine sound then you need to do that in the game settings.

Look at the lower right corner when you press V. A speaker symbol should pop up showing that your voice is live.

Yes... and it's actually pretty simple. Just go into your logitech profiler, create a new command (example tab &) and then click and drag it onto the button you wish for it to command.

 

I personally have both of those commands set to my paddle shifters.

Thanks @rubberburner89 I use my paddle shifters as my indicators so I'll look at mapping it possibly to the share, option or ps button  if not some other keyboard key

^^ Unless your gamepad software allows you to map keys into buttons, you'll need an external program that does. You can find some HERE.

Afraid it doesn't work like that @w0okiee... Essentially you need to trick your computer into thinking your pressing the "V" button when u press a button on your controller. @FernandoCR hit it right on the money with his suggestions. I might also suggest http://www.x360ce.com/

From what I just read, all I need to do to talk on my CB to other truckers is to have my CB tuned to a particular channel, e.g. 19, press the 'V' key, and start talking.  Well... that doesn't work, and I think a part of the problem, if not the entire problem, is that ATS, by default, links the 'V' key to the DIFFERENTIAL LOCK .  Has anyone noticed this before?  

 

So... if I un-assign the V key, it should work; right?  Nope... nada.  I can hear others talking, and well, but nothing from my mic is going out when pressing 'V'.  Could there be a different key I need to be pressing?

Since the new updates, the PTT key has been re-assigned. 'X' is the new key, 'V' is no longer the PTT button.
