I'm sorry if any admin think that I'm abusing from ATSMP Suggestion forum. I apologize for that and send me a MP if any admin feel like that.

 

Suggestion Name: Admin message saying how many people get banned

Suggestion Description: A message that info on chat message many got banned on present day

Why should it be added?: I think this could be a lot interesting because the major reason for people don't act on the rules is because of the sense of impunity. If we had a system that say "Hey, 15 people are banned today, don't be the 16º! Read the rules!" I think will be discouraging people to doing stupid things or don't act by the rules. Because I see that report policies have changed and now looks really effective. I think people should now if they don't act by the rules and don't respect each other, they have a good amount of chance to be banned.

A lof of people think there's no ban and can act like like retarded on MP since admins can't be everywhere and most of time when they get reported in game nothings happen. When they get warned about people getting banned, maybe they change their behavior and at least be more careful.

Anyway, there's a plausible explanation about how this gonna be helpful in first topic. You can agree or disagree, but is there.

I have no idea about this and pretty sure 99,999999999999% even. Thats a very intimidate number, people should know. For sure a lot of them will be intimidated and will have a lot of less problems in the future.

 

But if you guys don't think people should get warned about this, lets hope we have luck that ATSMP don't be like ETS2MP, which is governed by trolls and people careless about rules and good behavior.

 

It's funny because we get a lot of absolutely unnecessary official messages, but almost none about good behavior, overtakes rules, etc. I don't know if devs and admins think people really log on this forum or even read the rules.

 

Don't get me wrong, but now it's the time to create new machanics that will guaratee the good future of ATSMP. If taking too long, admins will have much more work to do and even working hard they should not will be capable to solve things.

They will be banned easier and quicker if you record and use the report system on the website

Holy crap! With that amount of bans it would be really nice to see notifications like:' Name got banned for amount of days due to reason'.

That would please 'fair drivers' and maybe previse players attempting to violate any rules, resulting in to slightly decrease of the overall game rule violations.

mehh we disabled that because it was spamming the chat, you saw more red lines then normal chat messages and not to mention players where complaining about that so not sure

But make it optional so people can turn it on or off with a command or settings maybe so optional ban spam . also have it so that the admin can turn it off their end if they don't want the bans broadcasted over the server. not sure

A system that sent message every 30 minutes with amount of banned people on the day they are playing would be nice.

 

I think a robot to inform every ban would be unnecessary spam.

 

But for sure people will think twice if they know that 400 people are banned in one day. For sure. For now sadly they think nothings happen because it's not everyone that is caught.

i'd love to see server wide ban messages return,  and i do like ffqjag's idea of makoing it a toggable options for us, so we can choose if we want to see them or not. ( i want to  )

I think if have a option to toggle it, people will for sure turn off.

 

The idea is people have access to this information. Not every ban, but how many people are getting banned. A message that spam every 30 minutos it's not hard to implement and will hurt nobody. A option to turn this thing off will turn this implemetation useless.

Nice idea, what about having a message every hour which says something along the lines of "In the past hour their were "X" number of bans. Be safe, be sensible and read the rules"

Yes, I think personally that people would follow the rules a lot more if a message were to be shown when people are banned and for what, a lot of people don't follow the rules because they actively don't see the rules being enforced so feel they can get away with doing things, if something were to be shown, perhaps these guys would think against rule breaking, itll make it a more pleasurable experience for everyone.

well if you look at the way some people drive in ATS, if you had server wide ban messages that told you who got banned and the offence they were banned for, it would show the more stupid truckers that the admins are always watching and COULD reduce the number of massive wrecks and stupidity we see on the roads at this point in time, that's the main reason for it.

I doubt it, the trolls will still be out in force and then the ban messages will show them how many admins are on and where they are in the map. Even though the admins can be from one side of the map to the other, they know that they could be busy with other reports. If no messages show, the trolls will know that there are no admins on and they will be trolling everyone everywhere.

I am definitely down with having an automatic ban counter. It would scare most players into actually playing the game instead of trolling.
