fatal error (help please)

Ever since mp was released I have really enjoyed playing it. A few days ago when I tried to load it a fatal error message came up, and continues to come up everytime I try to load mp. A couple of times since it first popped up mp has loaded so I thought the problem had gone but it has started again and now I cant play at all

I have tried everything to sort this problem including wiping my pc and it didn't work, does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

If all else fails, I recommend doing the following:

1. Uninstall Multiplayer
2. Uninstall ETS 2
3. Run Windows Update, make sure it updates and restart your PC if needed
4. Download latest drivers
5. Run CC Cleaner (Free Software to remove unneeded stored cache data)
6. Run Anti-Malwarebytes (Free Anti-Malware Software)
7. Scan your PC for any virues, spamware, etc.
8. Download and install a fresh copy of Euro Truck Simulator 2
9. Run Euro Truck Simulator 2.exe as an Administrator, then exit out.
10. Download a fresh copy of the Multiplayer Mod
11. Run the installer as an Administrator
12. Restart your PC
13. Run Steam as an Administrator
14. Run Multiplayer as an Administrator

 

Then please report back with your results.

Have you tried uninstalling the mod and deleting logs in documents?

 

If not just give that a shot and it should sort things out

 

 

EDIT: re read post. It shouldnt be an issue requiring wiping. Have you completely deleted ETS2 aside from this, And if you constantly alt f4 ets2mp ive found errors to be caused

Hi, just tried unistalling the mod and deleting the logs in documents, the error is still occurring.

 

No, the first time I had deleted ets2 was when this error started coming up, I  haven't been alt f4'ing mp.

Hmm. And the error has been submitted to the devs?

Might just be a case of waiting it out and seing if they can do anything. I will do some googling though in the mean time see if i come up anything

OOh. have you checked the crash log yourself to see if anything screams out the obvious in there? If nothing does might be worth posting here so the forums and myself can have a nosey and try sussing
