ETS2 Map + Steam

Suggestion Name: Enhance ETS2 Map with basic Steam functions

Suggestion Description:

Allow a right or left-click on player dots, to use basic steam functions like:

• add/remove this player to/from my steam friend list
• show players steam profile (opens a steam browser)
• show a quick info: how many hours this player played ets2

Any example images:

 

Why should it be added?:

• easier to make friends and report players
• easier to evaluate if a player is new to the game / or experienced

I agree with Trademark, could be a useful idea for players, but could easily be abused by trolls. Mixed feeling about this one tbh.

Perhaps it provides an easy way to friend a lot of people in short time.

Considering to not add steam friend feature would be okay, too.

I mean it could be useful an all but whats the point of using it when the max distance allowance on the map is 600m, we won't really get to see other people that much on the map and most of the time we're driving when we see people.

the server knows where everyone is, it just doesn't show it to us.

this could definitely be programmed and I like the idea when the "add friend" is removed or when it can be disabled.

Could also be a great idea if we could copy the steamID64 to a clipboard for example you left click on the steamID and it will automatically copy it for you so you don't have to waste your time just looking for their profile

Great idea! Would be useful if you know where someone went but couldn't remember their name. +1 from me.

May I suggest also expanding the ets2map so if you press the "M" key it'll show all players on the map (Like on ets2map.com)?

Would implementing ets2map into the game be possible? As an overlay. For example, pressing m brings up the ets2 normal map but pressing tab+m brings up the ets2map.com map. Like a web browser but only for ets2map.

Because It is implemented in the TAB-menu.
