I've been searching around abit and found a way to enlarge the autosave intervall.
A topic in the ETS2 Steam discussion http://steamcommunity.com/app/227300/discussions/0/648814213882445193/?l=german (topic is English)

If you set it to the value at "autosave intervall" to "0" or larger number it will be disabled or take a lot longer to do the next autosave.

You have to do that via cmd. (windows key + r and then enter cmd) open the command line.

then you have to switch to the directory you want to go into (cd [path]) and enter (without the braces) "scs_extractor [input_file] [output_name]".

And it might take a few minutes to unpack it.

Thanks Krav for the correct link

Anyways Ivan Crystal, There you have modded def file, save game intervall set to 99 # minutes , So your autosave-freezing problem is fixed with this!

Download the new def from here → https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8vWcjVBUeI2ZHNCOXVUN21jZVU/view

Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\

There will be a def file there so just cut it from that folder and move it somewhere else, just for safety purposes

Now extract the new downloaded def file to same folder^ after moving the old def to another place

:)
