Timetable 10:30am - Meet at NBFC, London 10:58am - Engine off Period Starts - To show our respects, everyone will turn off their engines. 11:00am - 2 Minutes Silence, London will be bathed with silence for a full 2 minutes. This includes in game chat. Please show some respect during this period. 11:02am - Engine off period ends 11:10am - Convoy Starts! Route During the event we will pass through many towns that have significance specifically to world war 2. Southampton - Famous for the Spitfire aircraft Dover - Famous for its white cliffs Amsterdam - Arnhem lies nearby, made famous by the film “A bridge Too Far” Dortmund - The nearby Möhnesee, made this area famous for its dam and is highlighted by the film “Dambusters” Mannheim - The bombing of Mannheim marked the beginning of the end of world war 2 Munich - Hit by 71 air raids over the course of 5 years Use the link below to view all the route map for the event: https://goo.gl/9wDR6Z Recommended Paint Job The paintjob for this trip will be “Vision”in the above colours “Red & White” Planning started on 11th July 2015 by the Soarfly Haulage senior management team. ItzKieren Posted August 29, 2015 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Fantastic Idea, i have been attending Remembrance Sundays for as long as i can remember, as well as participating in them with the ATC (Air training corps). I have visited many war memorials in Belgium, France and been to Poland to pay my respects to the fallen. Personally, i would like to thank you for considering and planning a remembrance convoy to pay respect to those who fought, fought for their country, family's and loved ones. Big respect points to you. As i cannot attend the convoy as i will be paying my respects elsewhere, i would indeed love to see photos, videos of the event.
