Open a Server located in Russia and Ban Russian Players from Europe Server

Suggestion : Open a Server located in Russia. Optionally, but preferably ban all russian IP from other servers.

Reason :

 

Long time ETS2 Player here. First time as I read the news about ETS2MP on official news in Steam, I was pretty hyped. A lithuenian friend tested before and told me : too many russians, don't play it.

Today (13.07.2015) more then a year after the release, I wanted to give it a shot. Moved from Debrecen to Rotterdam. It went pretty well until I came in Germany. Many friendly other truckers saluted, many understood how to take over and get in / out of the freeway. Then near Munchen I met those 2 Russians. They were driving like 70 km/h so I wanted to take over. Suddenly the one behind rams me intentionally. They blocked the whole way all the time. One breaked to get me slow and the other crushed in me. This went until we arrived near Köln / Düsseldorf. Rest of the day went pretty well. Arrived in Rotterdam, delivered, take a new freight, just get on the freeway and bam, some guy with the name "rus" and as picture the flag of mother russia just destroyed my freight to 33%. Why ? I don't know because he is russian I guess.

 

Am I shittalking ? Tell you me. From the first one I couldn't get any screenshot because "you have to stand still to do this". From the second, you can check it out.

 

There is a reason why Riot games made a russian only server. Did you ever tried to google "russian gamers" ? Here you go :

The first problem is money. A server costs about 40 to 50€ each month. But ETS2MP is only working on donations.

Second problem is the amount of players. If there aren't enough players to play on some servres, they are unnecessary and they would be shut down to save money.

For Evidence, you need (in your case) a video. You can use software like:

-Raptr/AMD Gaming Evolved

-OBS (OpenBroadcaster Software)

-nVidia Shadowplay

-Overwolf

or other (similar) Programs as well.

Sysgen, I am not saying something like that something against a race, I am just saying, very big part of the bad experience comes from a certain player base located in a certain location. Not only in ETS2, also in Dota2, LoL, CSGO, TF2. Come on I sent the Google search results... The only thing I am saying is, I think the players in Europe would have a better game experience. Also the russian players would have the same experience as before. It is a clear win / win situation for everyone.

Well, let me answer the Russian actions made; I know few Russian that follow the rules, and i met other few that break it and as an Admin, I Ban or kick them based on the appropriate Punishment given in the In Game Rules.

It's like that there's a Golden Plate of Fruits, Some Apples Are Very shiny and red (Delicious) and other Dull Red Colored Apples, that is corrupted and you have to get rid of them, so i just through the Corrupted Apples, and keep the Shiny one (Remember both are Red Apples)

I agree with Max on this, I do not think you can justify your comments, as in game admins we see a multitude of reports or rule breaking and to be honest i could not tell you which nationality I ban the most or cause the most issues.

 

It looks like you have made a biased and rash assumption based on YOUR experience.

I honestly don't agree with what you said. Everyone has the right to be equal. Trolls come from all over the world. Today a German was driving on he wrong side of the road and crashed into me. Is that a reason to get rid of Germans? No! Don't think every Russian is the same. But justify me the reasons for Russian servers in Dota2, TF2, LoL, HoTS(Russian servers in Beta right now) Tripple A Shooters, holy shit even Agar.io has russian servers. Valve is also racist ? EA is also racist ? Blizzard is also racist ? Riot is also racist ? (Well riot is racist but thats something different )  Ever thought about why ? They have good enough ping in Europe. Looks like russian servers are profitable in some way.

So yeah, the servers are likely to be a language thing more than anything, but also they can afford them. We really can't afford them, as was made apparent during the last official stream where we didn't make the months server hosting in donations. Now to be honest, I saw that one coming but if the devs are paying for this out of their own pocket, creating a new server, just to get rid of a few bad eggs, seems like a ridiculous thing to do.

None of the games you mention bans players from the other servers though. That said, it all boils down to money and resources with maintaining the machines we already got.

Dear person, you realize that this is a manifestation of racism? I certainly understand that you have hurt, hit in the trailer and more. But nothing that almost 20 - 30% of players of multiplayer - Russian. You do not say anything? If this post is to see at least one administrator group ETS2 in the VK, we will begin the full horror. All will either be as racist as you begin to offer the creation of servers for each country, to ban people for what they have not the same nationality as you, or else everything is just going to hate everyone, including their fellow countrymen.

Дорогой человек, вы хоть понимаете, что это проявление расизма? Я конечно понимаю, вас обидели, ударили в прицеп и другое. Но ничего, что почти 20 - 30% игроков мультиплеера - русские. Вам это ничего не говорит? Если этот пост увидет хоть один администратор группы ETS2 в вк, то начнется полный ужас. Все либо станут такими же расистами как вы, начнут предлагать создание серверов для каждой страны, банить людей за то, что у них не такая национальность как у вас, либо же все просто станут ненавидеть всех, в том числе и своих земляков.

First off, no matter what you say, this is racism. To say that is absolutely disgusting. How about we ban you from the EU server and give you your own? No one wants to play with you, because you are a sad excuse for a human being.

 

Secondly, the MP team is not a charity. They can't magic up some money for servers. Don't forget that the whole mod is free. Shouldn't you be happy there are servers provided to you?

 

Third, why the Russians? Is every Russian a bad driver? You must be seeing a load of YouTube videos about Russian road rages. Have you ever been the the UK? You see a whole load more idiot drivers out there in a day than you see in this server for a few weeks. Yet there are hardly any UK players getting banned.

 

A massive -1 for this. Why don't you just grow up, stop acting like a 12 year old and learn to get along with each other, no matter what country they are from.

Russia has a population of 142 million. It is the 9TH country by population and it just so happens gaming is a popular thing there. Bigger number of overall Russian players = bigger number of potential trolls amongst them.
