New 1.15 patch feature- trailer brake

Maybe some one who really knowing in this theme could me explain what for developers made that function in game?

As i know trailer brakes that works by pushing the button, named "parachute", is strongly forbidden in Europe and trucks with such functions you cant met even since 1995
