Disconnected due to high ping

Good Evening ( or whatever is appropriate )

 

I was wondering if there was anyway I could get some help with connection issues.

 

This happens on every server , except Asia, which I did not try. ( I am on the east coast of the U.S. )

 

my router is reset, computer rebooted, mp mod reinstalled , ETS2 reinstalled.

 

I do however have a lousy looking tracert, while speedtest . net didn't look to bad at all

 

At the moment , multiplayer is unplayable for me.

I was wondering if there was anyway to force a different route to the servers ( though I highly doubt that is even possible )

or maybe hopefully the above info may shed some light to someone who knows more about it than I do.

It's been a lot of years since I did any networking work.

So I'm not a hundred percent sure.

It appears , as of today , I am hopping through Canada , and that is where my issue lies.

 

according to this website ( with the IP range included ) is not a friendly place to have to go through, so it could possibly be some sort of spyware on my end.

do you have anything running that could be blocking or restricting net access to the ets2mp servers?

I've gone through the task manager and stripped down as much as a I can , safely.  I have also made sure no one else was hitting the network while I was testing.

 

For now , I do believe I will just have to enjoy single player for a while.

 

Those goofy trace routes tell me I may not be able to do too much to fix this.

 

Though these issues coincide with when I put the trip logger in ( http://forum.ets2mp.com/index.php?/topic/17604-ets2-triplogger-v2/ ) , I unless the logger is doing something to the route to the servers , it almost has to be coincidence.

You really have a bad link to the us server which is in Montreal, how about the EU1 or EU2 servers? Can you do a tracert to those? Do you get disconnected?

Have you tried the other servers to see which one it's happening on. I know it's the US one currently. But try all the servers.
