G27 Gears 1-6 not working right

I got a Logitech G27 today, so when i started earlier gear 1-6 on the h-shifter were working, now when i use 1-6 the engine goes to 25000 rpm and my truck goes very slow. Im VERY new to this and was hoping for some help When using splitter 7-12 dont do the same thing. Please tell me what im doing wrong, or if its a setting i have to change etc..... Thanks!
