Gonzalez Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Suggestion Name: Remove the rule about Traffic in EP Suggestion Description: The rule about driving back and forth to EP "without reason" is a little ridiculous. I like to drive through EP sometimes (multiple times) just to interact with all the other drivers in there, have the feeling of being "stuck" in traffic. But this new rule is "restricting" that. What's the sense in even having people go to EP? Any example images: None NeededWhy should it be added?: Because the rule is retarded. 2
Gonzalez Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Posted May 21, 2015 ^ Then ban for trolling (since that is an offense already)
Astarte Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 It is also there to keep congestion down at EP
Scar Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 This rule is added to avoid unnecessary traffic and to reduce the number of trolls who ruin the fun for everyone. Aragon Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 I'm not a fan of the rule but you guys have the whole map to explore and you gotta stick to the forbidden areas? Just wow. If I want to have a look at EP I usually do it with developer view, it's great for watching traffic without adding to it. 1 Signature made by Aestrial
Tandre Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Yeah, thats right, it isn´t that hard to see the difference between trolling and driving! If people think its fun to look at EP, let them do that then! 1
Gonzalez Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Posted May 21, 2015 It is also there to keep congestion down at EP This rule is added to avoid unnecessary traffic and to reduce the number of trolls who ruin the fun for everyone. What about the interaction with other players? I thought this was a simulator as everyone calls it. I'm not a fan of the rule but you guys have the whole map to explore and you gotta stick to the forbidden areas? Just wow. If I want to have a look at EP I usually do it with developer view, it's great for watching traffic without adding to it. Why should it be made "forbidden" there's no reason for it to be "forbidden". There's no lag/bugs/etc in that area so therefore it's "public"
Scar Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 ^ You can interact with any other player on the entire map but we ask that if you don't need to be at EP, please stay away from the place. If you'd like to go through EP, please take a trailer and you're allowed to. To be honest I tend to avoid EP like the plague but I do wonder where will be next for this new rule. Mr_Bored_UK is "Living the dream"
Gorkal1ty Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 I´m agree with you. There´s nothing wrong about making a ride to EP just for fun. And those who want will do it the same way just going into the ferry and back again. Quite stupid law in my opinión. There´s nothing wrong about 100 trucks in a raw if they are good drivers, and lots of people go there just for that experience, cause it´s real. Those drivers so annoyed by this should go find other way (YES THERE ARE MORE WAYS TO REACH GREAT BRITAIN). Trolls wont be avoided by that law either, they will cause trouble before reaching the port area or showing they are not going anywhere, and instead of dont letting them do things, the law dont let good drivers drive there "cause they want to drive there". Nonsense. 3
AbbieGator Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 The problem that we have is that we get a lot of users that come to EP and back to Rotterdam without trailers and even those with trailers that get to the port and turn around. There are so many close calls with that intersection and accidents as well that it's considered best for all that this remains in place to avoid users complaining about rammers and the likes. Now while I accept that you like going too and from EP just because you can, it's also very difficult to deal with as many users go through and just cause so many problems. That being said, I personally don't mind if you go to the port without a trailer, but you need to continue through the port or at the very least, park within the NCZ for some time before returning. It's very difficult to control EP when there are just so many people going through the area.
Movvy Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 what i noticed alot of the problems caused in EP are due to people repeatedly going torugh EP and causing chaos caus they like it i guess. u can awlays take short deliverys across the channel.this way u can stil ldrive trough EP,just not every 5 secs.

HeyI'mAmethyst Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Imo, you shouldn't be told where to go and where not to. Traffic is part of real life. Okay maybe the ones causing it get punished but you can't stop traffic... 2
FirestarteR93 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Really Egg? advising people to bypass a rule? Its kinda silly rule(and out-dated since Scaninavia got out), but IRL, lag and game freezes don't exist + people won't try to randomly mess you up
turbonutter69 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 I don't get the obsession about going to EP. Yes I have traveled through EP whilst doing a delivery, but I don't get why you would want or need to go there without a trailer. Or to go there just because. There are plenty of places around the map that get congested. What is the appeal about EP? Most of the people that go there without a trailer are youtubers hoping to get some action for their channel. I agree with the new rule. There's no need to go to EP just because. It's a port like any other. It's should be used as it was intended. To cross the channel.
FirestarteR93 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 ^back before scandinavia, it was the only connection from Europe to south/mid UK - it had quite a lot of traffic and trolls and attention whseekers went there just to mess it up and made quite big traffic jams
turbonutter69 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Was there not Calais and Amsterdam as well?
FirestarteR93 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 yeh, but people tend to blindly follow their navigation and end up in the (ex-)most crowded game area
turbonutter69 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Ahhhh but the useless traffic there knew where they was going so no need for navigation.
