Unable to connect/launch ets2mp

Long story short, yesterday I spent a bit of time trying to get mp going again (it's been a long while since I've last played). I have my game set to the temp 1_17_01 beta and it launched and played fine with no issues. Then I went to bed, like a human. 

Today I figured I'ld play the game some more and I tried launching ets2mp from my desktop, a pop-up appeared saying something about the game's version. I accidentally closed it right away. the game still launched, but didnt connect me to mp. I was in sp.

 

Anyone have this problem before? Am I using the wrong beta or nah?

edit: After a computer restart, I did not get the version popup, it went straight to single player.

Just re-install ETS2MP

You must put your game in NONE - Opt out all....>> >> download the latest version of MP which is 0.1.6 R5 and you will be fine

The games at None- opt out of all, but mp only works for the first launch of the mod, following attempts throw me right into SP. So I'm just going to have to reinstall and delete the shortcut every time I play?
