Game Developer Popular Post mwl4 Posted April 30, 2015 Game Developer Popular Post Posted April 30, 2015 Hey, exactly one year ago we released open alpha of multiplayer addon for Euro Truck Simulator 2. During this whole year we released 37 mod versions ( 0.1.0.2 - 0.1.5 R5 ) (Statistically it's more than one update each 10 days! ). This whole year was for us a lot of work. In that previous year we've been trying our best to improve, support next versions of ETS2, add new elements, synchronize game functions. Actually, during this year we had no break in creating the mod nor servers downtime. In that whole year a mod was available to everyone. I'm amazed about how did that happen, and actually I'm amazed that I still have will to create it, even if it has been nearly 20 months since my first line of code in ETS2MP. It's been a year, and the modification is not expiring - quite the opposite, we still improve. Nearly everyday we achieve 2000 players online. It is a huge achievement, which wouldn't have been achieved if not you - players. During that year we also won a ModDB price for being The Best Mod of 2014, which is also a great achievement. What will come during the next year? It's hard to tell, honestly. It might not be "open alpha" no more, but "open beta". You'll get economy, virtual speditions and more interesting features. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait. Surely it will be a year of huge changes. Nevertheless, this year brought us a lot of changes as well. What's waiting in close future? 7 days till Scandinavia DLC release and 1.17 version, and then later on Mercedes Actros MP4. In the world of ETS2 there are lots of details. What about multiplayer? We still try to implement quite interesting features, which will improve the gameplay, will bring new experiences. One of such features is a police car, which is being made from scratch by one of our admins - szeryf. At the beginning of tests it will be available only for administrators, but after a certain period of time it will be available for you as well. When will it happen? Nobody knows yet. novice Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 1 year alpha, not badbut we should move on and push it to the beta, cmon guys, one year passed and it is still alpha, all those bugs and other wierd stuff is being explained as "this is just an alpha bla bla", it cant be alpha forever

Being able to meet other people who share the same interests in an already spectacular game means a lot to me. Again, thank you devs for developing and releasing such a fine addition to my hard drive Oh, and that police car looks amazing as well. Better than what I'd do. I don't suppose you'd mind adding the option to put a British police livery on it? Especially if it's going to be driven in the UK 1
