Wheezy_ Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Suggestion Name: Remove the limiter and a lot of the no collision areasSuggestion Description: You should remove the limiter because it's too boring driving down an open road only going 90 and you should stop increasing the no collision areas they are practically half the map and it has just ruined Europort. Any example images: http://i.imgur.com/6qUhV44.jpg Why should it be added?: Does anyone remember going to Rotterdam and seeing the queue a mile away, it may sound strange but a lot of people enjoyed waiting in that queue it made the game more realistic and it was just an overall enjoyable experience even though you were hardly moving. Look at the picture on the home page of this forum, it's Rotterdam before they made the no collision zone cover the whole area, now when you go to Rotterdam you just drive straight through people and it's just not fun anymore, you don't get the same experience as before as now you don't need to worry about how long you're going to be waiting to before you can use the ferry as you can just drive through everyone anyway. But the amount of time you don't spend waiting in that queue is spent driving along a empty highway at 90 because that is the capped limit. Are you seriously trying to suc. all the fun out of multiplayer? Who thought that putting a cap on the speed was a good idea? It is so boring knowing that you could be going a lot quicker than you actually are but the limit is capped. dumb, if this wasn't the only multiplayer mod for this game then I assure you that people would stop playing this pile of shite, I have seen so many posts asking for the speed limit to be removed and so many people replying to these posts agreeing with it but you guys do all. I hope you don't make multiplayer for American Truck Simulator and try to suc. all the fun out of that game also because I'm fucki. done with this shit, why do you guys feel the need to put a speed cap on every server? Just take the speedcap and a lot of the no collision zones off one of the servers and I assure you a lot people would play it. I understand the need for no collision zones at garages etc. but not covering the whole of Europort.

FirestarteR93 Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 I bet everybody enjoyed people driving in wrong way or reconnecting on top of eachother, playing with 5 FPS, or people failing to brake and crashing into you. i'd like to point out some obvious facts: Probably since last october, NCZs were reworked, so they don't affect any roads Since last update speedlimit is set to 110kph; we can't rent server for every single player's wishes EU2 was made especially with that purpouse, but it turned it wasn't successfull as some of us thought - 70 people weekly average vs the 897 on EU1 ( used http://stats.ets2mp.de/for stats) btw Welcome back to ets2mp

antrax737 Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 So you find driving at a constant speed along a highway enjoyable? Em, maybe u should try something that isnt 680-750hp and then talk about constant speed + I think u are playing wrong game, this is trucking simulator not Need for speed 2
Reaper Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Em, maybe u should try something that isnt 680-750hp and then talk about constant speed + I think u are playing wrong game, this is trucking simulator not Need for speed I was about to say the same, Euro Truck Simulator...... As Antrax said, just buy a lower end truck, your "constant speed" problem will soon vanish ^^ Other than that, what do you expect to change? Instead of everyone driving 90kph together, they'll all be driving 150kph together, so your problem will not disappear due to a change of speed... As far as the NCZ's, did you ever play BEFORE they were even implemented? It was absolutely horrid, I think far more people would leave multiplayer due to that rather than a speed limit... And lastly, a little off-topic: Try to be less aggressive the next time you want to get your point across, you don't need swearing and anger to make a good statement. It's a bad representation of yourself, in my eyes. 1
zyprexia Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 So you find driving at a constant speed along a highway enjoyable? As long as people use gas for go and brakes for stop, yes. The majority of the people that I see in ETS2MP has absolutely no clue how to drive a truck. Besides, I'm one of the people that actually tries to play ets2mp as realistic as possible. And in an admin is in a bad mood, he could technically kick every speeder from the server because of rule nr 1: 'While Driving in ETS2MP, users are required to follow the European Traffic laws' Driving faster than allowed is a violation. I actually haven't played ets2mp in about two weeks. ets2mp has basically two types of games. The first group are the realism fanatics and the second group are the more arcade like drivers. The new limit is too high for realism drivers and it's too low for arcade drivers. Second, I'm running the 1.17 open beta and that version isn't compatible with the current ets2mp mod. But to be honest I do get a little sick about the lower speed limit / no speed limit topics. Do you guys have troubles using the search function on this forum. Doesn't it work correct. The last couple of weeks numerous topics about the speed limiter were created. Want to watch the heated discussion: Check the release posts that actually needed to be closed to restore order. Well I don't like the current speed limiter, I do find it reassuring that they now actually stick with something. You may not licked it, but you at least know what you can expect.. 510 Horses and one lucky bird at work Simulators: Prepar3d V4, X-Plane 11, DCS 1.5 + 2.x, ETS2, ATS, Farming Simulator 17, Omsi 1 + 2 System: Intel i7-6700K @ 4700Mhz, 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, GTX970, HP LP2475w monitor (1920x1200) Devices: Logitech G27, SKRS Shifter, CH Products Throttle Quadrant, Trustmaster Hotas Joystick, TrackIR Storage: 2 x SM961 - 250GB (raid 0), Samsung 850 pro 1TB disk, Samsung 850 EVO 2TB disk.
PrincessKenny Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Wait... driving with a delivery* at 110km/h is boring, but queing in Europort isn't? Someone made a good point - try some lower hp engines, play SP for a while (no speed limit there), you can even set warp to 1 000 000, bet it will be fun. * This may surprise you, but delivering goods is what this game is all about. Seriously... what is truck?
Darth Wazawai Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 [*]EU2 was made especially with that purpouse, but it turned it wasn't successfull as some of us thought - 70 people weekly average vs the 897 on EU1 ( used http://stats.ets2mp.de/for stats) btw Welcome back to ets2mp O.o blind? The site you referenced show this for eu2: "Top players: 1911" "1 Month average: 204.58" The month avg well keep dropping because they removed nsl from eu2... those numbers are accurate yours is not. The server when I was on it had 250+ with nsl. About op, even tho I would love to have eu2 back with all its glory 110kmh is a acceptable speed, I would like to drive faster w/o a trailer but I'm fine with it if they lowered eu2 and added more slots to eu1. P.s. you can't go much faster with a proper truck with a load And I'm getting annoyed at these topics too, but not the content or the similarities but the replies about nfs bs... About the nfs references knock it off, ignore said topics, furthermore if you don't didn't or wouldn't won't haven't played eu2 with nsl please follow this videos guidelines k? Gonzalez Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 Lol I don't think this guy disabled the speed limiter in game 1
Wheezy_ Posted April 27, 2015 Author Report Posted April 27, 2015 Lol I don't think this guy disabled the speed limiter in game You can only disable the speed limiter after patch 1.4.1.
FirestarteR93 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Egg, Its obvious that after last update it'll drop out, I've used weekly for example in that post, because the update wasn't so long ago - Also that site shows up to 1 year old data - look how often eu2 has above 400 players Yes Wheezy, I find driving with mates more enjoyable rather than driving alone with 150
Darth Wazawai Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 It's how you worded it... For the above 400 that was mostly because of nsl. Tho I have no idea how to access the years with of data (on phone)... in the end comparing current eu2 vs eu1 is simply not a intelligent way of trying to prove a point of course pointless residencies will have bad turnouts.
