Three-Staff Review System for Ban Appeals

Suggestion Description:

I suggest adding a new system where three high-ranking staff members (not regular Game Moderators) review the same ban appeal together.

When a player submits a ban appeal, the system will automatically assign three upper-level staff members (such as Game Moderator Leaders or above) to evaluate it independently. Each of them will have three options to choose from:

Unban the player

Keep the ban active

Needs further review

The final decision will be made based on the majority vote:

If 2 or 3 staff members select “Unban,” the ban will be lifted.

If 2 or 3 select “Keep the ban,” the ban will remain active.

If “Needs further review” is the majority choice, the case will be escalated for a deeper investigation.

This system would reduce potential mistakes or bias from a single reviewer and make the appeal process more fair and reliable.

Why It Should Be Added:

Ensures fairness and accuracy in the ban appeal process.

Reduces human error and personal bias.

Builds stronger trust between the community and the TruckersMP staff team.

Increases transparency in the decision-making process.

What you are proposing here is the same procedure as the feedback system, except that you want to avoid this and have all appeals reviewed by three staff members all the time. This, apart from being unnecessary, would be a waste of time for us because we would have to deal with a lot of appeals, and a waste of time for you because we would not be able to respond to appeals within 72 hours, as stated in our rules. Every Report Moderator/Game Moderator is trained to deal with at least all the situations. Obviously, we are humans, we are not perfect and we make mistakes, but if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you can submit a feedback ticket so that a high staff member like GMMs, Leaders and Trainers can evaluate your case again.

I do not support the idea of turning appeals into the state senate that requires majority votes on report appeals other GM's have been assigned to.

 

Here's an idea that doesn't need the majority vote. Don't get banned.

I don't see any reason to change the current approach. I'm sure it will make things worse in 99% of cases, as it is not an everyday thing to have countless appeals that have been dealt with incorrectly. And even if that does happen, nothing stops you from submitting a feedback ticket, like Mystere has explained above, and everything will still get corrected, if needed.

I have a question 

 

Lets say there are 100 ban appeals and 1 staff does 1 each and they can get them done lets say in like 4 days 

now imagine that with 3 staff on one they would take longer to get more done I feel

 

Also how would this improve the current system also if someone is unhappy with their outcome then they can just wait for the unban because odds are if they are very obviously banned they will stay banned by the admins even if there is 2 or 3 ?

 

It can be a good idea as yeah it can build more trust but then also by this logic we may as well let players review the ban appeals like a jury if we want the most transparency

I get the idea and it might make things seem a bit fairer in a players point of view, but I still don’t support it. Sounds like extra work for higher ups with not much benefit.
