skbavi Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Hey everyone, I’ve seen a lot of new players make the same small mistakes when they join TruckersMP for the first time. I made most of them myself too, so I thought I’d share a few practical tips that can make your early experience smoother. 1. Respect the Road Like It’s Real This isn’t a racing server — it’s a shared road. New drivers often over-speed, ignore signals, or drive on the wrong side, which leads to accidents quickly. Stick to the limits, signal before turning, and give other players space. It might sound basic, but it makes the game more enjoyable for everyone. 2. Stay Away From Chaos (At First) Busy areas like Calais–Duisburg can be overwhelming when you’re new. There’s heavy traffic, impatient drivers, and plenty of room for error. Start your first few deliveries in quieter areas. You’ll have less pressure, fewer accidents, and more time to get comfortable with driving. 3. Know a Few Handy Commands Many beginners don’t realize how useful the in-game commands are. /fix – repairs your truck if you have a trailer /pinfo [ID] – get info on another player /pm [ID] [text] – send someone a private message TAB – player list F9 – hides chat F11 – hides UI (useful for screenshots) 4. Make a Backup Save If something goes wrong in multiplayer, you’ll want a way to recover quickly. Before joining MP, make a manual save in single player. If you crash or take a wrong turn, just reload it. It saves time and money. 5. Set Up Your Controls Properly A lot of early mistakes come from bad steering sensitivity or control setup. Spend a bit of time adjusting the settings so the truck handles smoothly. 1

PilgrimsPath Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM I do agree with #1. The amount of trucks I see racing around/skipping traffic lights is quite bad. It's much more enjoyable to take your time and enjoy the ride. 1
