Question

Posted

Hey there,

To make a long story short, any DLC file which is within the game path, even if I don't own it on Steam, seems to be active and the game detects it as pirated.

I have been able to delete all DLC files, however that tends to crash my game after a couple of minutes (most likely due to files being missing which are needed)

Please let me know if there's any better way to make this work.

Hello @Hasaku,

If you had pirated DLC, you cannot log into TruckersMP online. I recommend that you follow these instructions:
1) Uninstall the game completely
2) Uninstall the Steam application
3) Redownload Steam and install it (this is important)
4) Reinstall the ETS2 game

This should resolve the issue. Please note that TruckersMP does not require any DLC; you can play without it or purchase official licensed DLC if you wish.

I have not pirated ETS2 within the last 5 years, as I just haven't played it in that long.

The current install is the official one, I only have the 9 free DLCs.

So far I've tried to reinstall the game, reinstall the launcher files, restart Steam in general. Re-checked the DLC between the TMP account and Steam.

Not really sure what else to really try, as this seems to be some kind of an issue with my account perhaps.

I have already done both, multiple time...

So for some reason, it does indeed seem that the DLC which I don't own, is fully active even though it shouldn't be.

I'm able to equip and use all of the paintjobs which I don't own.

Is there any way to remove that, considering that all of my files and profiles are new from Steam itself?

Update:

In this case, the Koalageddon program which I had used a while ago to unlock DLCs for a different game, worked on ETS2 as well.
