Hello friends,
I wanted to shoot a guide video for you.
As you know, there are places where traffic is heavy between Calais and Duisburg from time to time, in these cases you can easily get rid of heavy traffic with this method.

- We type /disconnect in the chat section and we go offline.

- We skip the high-traffic section offline.

- Then we park in an available space and record with fast saving.

- We press the Esc key, click on the system, then press the title screen and log in to the game again.

- After the ghost mode expires, you can continue on your way.

I share the video here for you.

Soeben sagte Sunstrider:

I don't think that's a problem. As long as you don't disturb any players, it's fine

This should be counted under 1.3. You're intentionally getting off the server to beat traffic to reconnect ahead of the multi section jam. Instead of just sitting in the queue waiting to proceed safely.

Hello, thank you for your comment.

It's a matter of choice. If you want, you can wait in traffic. Those who don't want to wait can use this method. It's not illegal as long as you follow the rules. The important thing is not to harm anyone.

Nice guide! Thanks for including the video, as this method is currently the best way to avoid blocking too, instead of just waiting.

If you want to avoid traffic, it would be best to choose not to drive in places where you know that traffic is heavy.

In addition, if you need something like this in any way, you can instantly connect to online by typing game on the console. (Don't forget to take a quick registration.)

Kind regards,

Credit where credit is due to the author of this guide, for pointing out a way that people can avoid traffic jams, should they wish to. Personally, I think this is an acceptable approach and is something often recommended to players who find themselves in situations like this.

Whilst this approach isn't applicable in all situations, it isn't against the rules in anyway and most certainly cannot be categorised as abuse/spamming. Everything done in the video attached to the guide is done so safely. I really don't see your issue.

Provided the people doing this copy the guide author, there should be no issues. Therefore, i strongly support this guide and encourage more people to do the same. Especially when there's an impassable blockage, as from experience, this helps quash the number of in-game reports and frustrated drivers annoyed that they can't proceed. All in all, a great guide and I can't fathom why your first reaction would be claim it should be against the rules.

Ghost Mode is Spawn Protection. Not a mode to be abused because of impatience that cannot wait in a queue.

I've seen it happen too many times. Someone does what this topic shows, they skip a few vehicles, and end up crashing into a random player because they proceeded before all the players were loaded in. It's feature abusing to bypass a queue of traffic. You don't see anyone abusing Ghost Mode during Official Convoys.

§2.1 - Hacking/Bug/Feature abusing - 6 MONTHS - PERMANENT BAN

Using any kind of tool to change gameplay, including but not limited to using the in-game console, trainers or cheat engine in order to bypass the speed limiter, to jump hack, no collision hack or anything similar. Bypassing the server-sided auto kick system. Misusing features such as ghost mode to cause damage to others while connecting to the servers. The TruckersMP Team reserves the right to apply any of the above-mentioned punishments on a case basis without justification on the decision.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what ghost mode has to do with this. The op specifically states that you should wait for ghost mode to expire before continuing, they also state that you should pull over to one side. Both of these ensure that you rejoining the server should be as smooth as possible.

What you're talking about is people loading in and then just driving through people, before they load in. I agree that this isn't correct; however, it's only against the rules if done blatantly and with abuse in mind. Merely not realising that a) you're in ghost mode (some newer players may not twig this) and b) the people around you haven't loaded in yet (some newer players may not check the mini-map), all these are honest mistakes, but can be avoided by always parking up to one side before disconnecting from a server, under any situation.

If someone purposely makes a save whilst in a traffic jam, and then loads that save, knowing full well they're in a traffic jam, and drives forward, then there's grounds for that behaviour to fall under 2.5. This is relatively hard to prove, though.

All this aside, none of what's suggested in this article should be construed as a rule violation, as it's actually the complete opposite, it helps avoid more people loading saves and not realising that once their ghost mode runs out, if they're inside of another truck, there may be an issue. Using ghost mode incorrectly = no, I don't support this. Doing exactly what this article outlines = yes, i do support this, as it can only be beneficial.

OP has not implied to pull over safely prior to reconnecting. "After the ghost mode expires". Others, will just continue from wherever their last quicksave happened.

Ghost Mode should automatically park you on the shoulder and prevent the engine from starting until Ghost Mode expires. Still, it's better to have patience and wait in the queue then to disconnect or use Ghost Mode to bypass said queue. If everyone starts doing this, there's more risk for accidents and traffic jams in spots where jams didn't exist.

It should be easy to prove if  they have the right technical data in place. Just check the player's position before disconnecting, if a save was made, and how many times this process repeated. Keyword is highlighted. I don't support manual disconnecting from the server to bypass traffic.

Great discussion, not changing my stance on this.
