Truckersmp history for the curious.

Hello everyone, I am eis, a 4-year truckersmp player! I have been trying to complete my cybersecurity education for the last 2 years. Researching the game I played years ago came to my mind last night when I remembered to explore YouTube.

 

1. The beginning of the Truckersmp legend: I did a search using Google dorking, rootkiller and mwl4 started its development in 2013 and it was officially founded on May 1, 2014.

 

2. Copyright agreement problem: TruckersMP was called "World of Trucks Multiplayer" with the release of American Truck Simulator. However, due to copyright issues with SCS Software, it has now been renamed to "TruckersMP"

 

3. Rootkiller's resignation:

Rootkiller made significant contributions as one of the main developers of TruckersMP. However, he left SCS Software in 2019 and is currently a retired member of the project. Therefore, Rootkiller is not currently actively involved with TruckersMP.

 

4. Truckersmp popularity:

Truckersmp was first a small project in 2014 and became popular between 2018-2019. In 2023, TruckersMP grew to 5 million registrations and 32 thousand new players per month. Also, the community played 24 million hours per month.

 

5. Help:

mwl4 and his team created a forum and asked for help with some codes like Java and achieved great progress.

 

6. Other: I continued their search and saw that mwl4 was in some more development companies (hurry and so on) I continue my research! (This is just a fun research, I have no bad or malicious intentions, I respect and love mwl4 and rootkiller who started the truckersmp legend.)
