Sunstrider Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 Suggestion Name: High Population Warning Message Suggestion Description: Inform the player when they are in an area with high population and keep the warning on screen until the population radius is below 50. Any example images: none Why should it be added?: Quote 2.4 - Incorrect Way / Inappropriate Overtaking Driving the incorrect way down a road. Overtaking or undertaking another player in highly populated areas and/or resulting in an accident or the endangerment of other players. This also includes overtaking or undertaking on any one-lane in each direction road where there is excessive traffic such as a traffic jam. Rule 2.4 states "highly populated areas" and "excessive traffic". But, it doesn't state the threshold for the number of players in the area to qualify (50+). Besides stating it in the rules, there should also be a warning notification that's active while the population exceeds that value. 2 2

But rule 2 defines what a highly populated area is, which is the rule you read before reading 2.4 if you keep the order: Quote §2 - Game only rules --- (...) Areas with 25+ players are considered highly populated. And it is quite easy to track that number by simply having the TAB menu open in one of the corners of your screen, or just above the Route Advisor in my case. Overall, I don't think this feature is worth the effort, given that there are apps such as Trucky that give live traffic updates as you drive into the specific area. 1
Interstate Nomad Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 I agree to your suggestion. A temporary on-screen warning that states the beginning of a high populated area is more safe than counting the amount of players in the TAB menu or on the GPS screen. 2
FlixcoLP Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 I also agree to your suggestion however keeping it on screen all the time is in my point of view not good. More like an message when youre entering an High Population Area and when you leave it.

I didn't know it was changed to 25. I don't want the nearby list on screen for the duration. Still, i think this should be added. And just like the speed limiter changes, this can be toggled in settings. 1
[VIVA] Dejonckheere123 Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 I agree it's a good suggestion, but keeping it on the screen till it goes under 50players is a little too much. I drive with the Trucky app open at all times and it gives a notification "You are entering (city), population is low/moderate/..." and it gives the amount of players in that city and also for the C-D route. I think that would be more than enough since the message removes itself after about 5 seconds.
Martin_v8 Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 Just simply download Trucky, which allows you to send and receive traffic reports, and also tells you how busy cities are as you enter them. 2
InsanoDeath Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I guess there is no need for this rather just have a regular eye at tab menu. it shows nearby players.
Sunstrider Posted January 11 Author Report Posted January 11 I'm not downloading Trucky I'm not keeping TAB open until the population is below 24 Why can this not exist as an alternative that can be toggled in your settings? 1 1
Interstate Nomad Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 Naturally, the message on screen should be temporary to avoid blocking the view. But a small red square in the corner of the screen could be used as a permanent indicator of a high-populated area, respectively a green square or not showing anything at all in areas with less than 25 players. 1
