Suggestion Name: box junctions

Suggestion Description: box junctions to stop players sitting in the middle of the junction

Any example images: n/a

Why should it be added?: i think this should be added  because as you know the bridge in Duisburg is a pain at the traffic lights I was sat there for 20 mins  because players kept blocking it so i couldn't move i also think that players should be kicked if they are sat in the junction now i don't  know how to make pictures so i took this picture from google as a understanding how it works I'm not just on about the bridge but other places where players lie to block the junction at Calais too

I like the idea but then how would it work. Stopping in the yellow box results in a fine, correct? But in TMP, lets be honest, no one acknowledges fines as they often use accounts with millions of £££ or just simply disable them. So, I see where you're coming from but I don't think it would be at all effective. But who knows...

so the same as irl apart from it can be a kickable offence if the moderators sees it but if there isn't one then it should be reportable as stopping in a box junction would be teqnically blocking the road but at the present there arnt any boxes so players can block it i just  thought this would help a little

As long as the GM team is going to enforce it and kick/teleport people who sit in the yellow boxes then I'd love to see it added to some busy intersections.

Otherwise don't bother adding it, people won't respect it.

Making the intersection prettier won't solve the issue at hand.

  1. The problem wouldn't even exist if players just had patience and followed road rules to begin with.
  2. Problem spots require constant admins to keep things in check. And, i don't know how many admins are on are what they are doing the entire time.

Well dont forget the admins dont get paid they do this in their spare time they have proper jobs to go to they have a life outside truckersmp i think this would wor maybe with an autokick

It isn't just about making it prettier though. A big yellow box will make people more aware that they shouldn't be stopped it, and like Noah says it makes it a clearer offence for Game Moderators to kick for.

Ah I see what you mean. Yeah it's possible I guess.

While i do like the road markings, i don't know if the players gonna accept it and follow it, even now they don't follow the road markings at it is, even ignoring traffic lights in rare cases.

maybe Duisburg could do with a rework especially near the bridge because i have waited 20 mins to get through the traffic lights because players are blocking the junction

Even if it is added to here, gas stations, and Calais, there's still a majority of players who just ignore it. And Game Moderators aren't always around to punish reckless drivers.

While it's a good consideration, they have to set it up and then define the "auto kick" zone. Would even need to place anti passing objects. But, it also has to factor in ping to ensure it's not a false kick for being a good driver.

you cannot compare irl to this that is so different, imo for you and me is common sense to stop, most of these players have almost no idea what they doing.

so to putting a box there with a kick sensor will not help, they will simply spawn back or load save game and continue where they were doing.

i mean fair play i just thought it would help easing the traffic in highly populated areas

So I did a bit of research today just out of curiosity of how scs came up with how duisburg is in game. Kinda shocking anyway I found that we could probably add the yellow box with crosses on the middle area that Noah has spoken about. It appears that SCS didn't add an extra traffic light for the people whom are turning left from the highway. Would it be pulesable to remove tmps current traffic light to where it should be in these reference images. I also feel we could maybe block out the second traffic light nearest the turn to help with people who somehow get confused about that single traffic light in the centre when both scs set of lights turn green.

removal of this extra traffic light either by one the boards the add on team likes to use around the maps

move the current single traffic light to this position

I will also provide the screenshot of how the real life traffic intersection is from google maps

Hello @NoahTheGamer,

Thank you for your suggestion! While ideas like this work well in real life, we anticipate it would have little impact here. The reality is that many players on this area may not adhere to road markings in the game, particularly those who might benefit from them the most!

Instead, we’d prefer to focus on efficient server moderation in this area, as well as exploring alternative ways to improve traffic flow.

For these reasons, we will decline your suggestion. Thank you for your understanding!
