Game crashes on Nov 6th and Nov 8th - happening after swapping profiles & servers.

Question

Hello,

Ever since SCS version 1.53 I've been noticing weird game crashes now and then, which I think are related to me swapping from my base (vanilla) mod-free profile to a ProMods profile and related server. The ProMods profile only contains the official ProMods mod and its own map expansions (Middle East / Great Steppe). I've also received a similar fatal error on Sim1. last Wednesday, when I was roaming around with my camera and I got an error out of the blue.

Before creating my own topic, I've been following up on feedback given by the staff to other members facing similar issues, such as:

- file integrity verification on Steam

- complete reinstall of TruckersMP (removing the Documents folders and AppData)

- updating my graphic drivers.

I seem to get several kind of errors. The latest I've got was a KERNELBASE.DLL error. See below:

Image of "FATAL ERROR KERNELBASE "

Game log with the error as last line. (8th Nov instead of 7th, typo). The crash happened after spawning in, creating the job and occurs right upon accelerating my truck.

As stated in the first paragraph, a few days earlier I've also had an error while free roaming. Game log of 6th Nov - free roaming with the camera. The free roam was with the last minutes.

I hope my post meets the criteria for reaching out.

Regards,

Sharpythegoat

Hello

Some possible causes of the issue:

  • You ran out of Memory
  • You ran out of GPU-Memory
  • You didn't use an updated GPU driver
  • You used an outdated or corrupted mod
  • Windows somehow corrupted a file (Yes this can randomly happen)
  • The game files got corrupted during an update or installation
  • The system is missing or has damaged DirectX or Visual C++ redistributable
  • There is a conflict with antivirus or security software blocking certain files
  • Overclocked hardware (GPU, CPU, or RAM) is causing instability
  • The Windows page file (virtual memory) is too small or disabled

Hello

It seems corrupt files were found with the sfc /scannow command.

I'll further try playing for a prolonged amount of time with a clean profile, since I've also reinstalled ETS2 not too long ago.

I could report to this later if desired, for now it can be marked as resolved, since I do not expect the underlying problem to be anything else than what is listed above.

I can tell that, if I stick to one game session - without switching or whatsoever - I seem to play stable with being able to drive multiple jobs 🙂

Kind regards

Sharpy
