Hello,

It’s normal to receive flashes from other players when your high beams are on, as they can seriously affect night vision. However, some players might also flash as a friendly greeting.

Aside from that, the following tips might help improve your visibility:

  1. Is the HDR option enabled? This setting enhances the contrast between dark and light areas, potentially improving visibility.
  2. Increasing the quality of reflections and shadows can provide a clearer night view.
  3. Adjusting the brightness and contrast of your monitor outside the game can enhance overall visibility.
  4. Fog and heavy darkness can obstruct visibility. You can minimize or completely disable these weather effects for a clearer view.

I hope these settings will enhance visibility and be helpful.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
Kind regards.

Hi, I think you can get a real life perspective to this problem, for example I use high beams at night but when I see another vehicle coming towards me I just close high beams till they pass, most of the drivers does this too so we don't  blind the other driver. Same applies to ETS, whenever you see a vehicle coming from opposite direction just turn off your high beams until they pass. I hope this answer was helpful for you.

If changing your brightness settings don't help, and you still need your high beam on to safely drive at night, you could consider not having any additional / auxiliary lights on your truck, and just use the truck's stock high beam that are in the headlight unit.

People who drive around constantly with their high beam on when they have covered the whole front of their truck in additional lights is the worst.
If you only use the trucks stock lights, then it isn't so bad for everyone else, hopefully that may also help you see at night without annoying other players 🙂
