Recently, there has been a lot of discussion on the forums regarding non-official vehicles. I would like to share my thoughts on this topic and gather your opinions as well.

Definition of Non-Official Vehicles:
First of all, non-official vehicles are those that have not been approved by the game developers, typically created by modders. These vehicles can provide an exciting option to customize and diversify the gaming experience, but they also bring some important considerations.

Pros:

Variety: Non-official vehicles offer players the chance to use different types and designs, enhancing the diversity of the game.

Customization: Players can create personalized vehicles through mods, making the gaming experience more unique.

Community Support: Mod creators produce content supported by the community, which can change the game dynamics.

Cons:

Compatibility Issues: Non-official vehicles may become incompatible with game updates, leading to technical problems.

Gameplay Balance: Some mods might disrupt the balance within the game; for example, vehicles that are much stronger or faster than official ones.

Security Risks: Non-official content, due to potentially low quality, may increase the risk of crashes and bugs, resulting in unwanted situations in the game.

Conclusion:
Non-official vehicles can enrich our TruckersMP experience, but they also bring some risks along with them. I am curious about your thoughts on this topic. This cant be done. Or it could be done but it would not be a viable option for TMP. Essentially the Winter mod works because it is only cosmetic. It just changes colors and puts snow on the road. It wont affect me if i dont use winter mod. And so its not a problem. And its added to the server by us. And so everyone that downloads the winter mod from us can then see it. Non Official cars/trucks/mods cant be used cause they will not be recognized by the server and so the server would not allow you to use it, and so would be disabled it. But even if we could allow it, every single mod you use would have to be added to the server for everyone else to see. And every player playing also needs to download all the mods onto their systems in order for them to see it. Cause if they dont have the mods they cant see them and so that would cause issues because they wont be able to see you driving anything, Even if the game would make a placeholder truck/car instead, then what would be the point of the mod if you are the only one that can see it. And it would just be a mess with hundreds of different mods everyone would have to download every time someone else decides to use a new mod. SCS Convoy mode is the same. Everyone has to have all the same mods in order to play together. And that would just be a big mess for TMP.

We have already had this which is smth called "Local Mod"

You can have them somehow, as a few users are flexing images in the TMP discord with them having local modded T-cabs on TMP, but they are sadly not going to release the plugin for the community  

Can't understand this kind of gatekeeping, but oh well, some other person will figure it out eventually and release it, if they don't.
