ETS2 FPS problem

I'm having a noticeable fps problem with the new version upgrades. Not only me, but everyone complains about such stops, I wonder if a solution will be found to this situation with the new versions.

First of all, welcome to TruckersMP Forums! 

My name is RedNub and I'll be answering your question today.

Of my person opinion I think it should slightly change in version 1.51. I unfortunately can not tell you as of now.

 

For this version, there are any tips that can help you with increasing your FPS. 

 

At the first, I wanna ask if you did some graphics update, because it could be cause by that, if the driver is wrongly set as there can be a betaversion of some driver.

 

I recommend you to set up thus settings as written below:

 

 

Settings in - game 

- Enable Vsync  - is always better to having a Stable FPS Rate around 60 than often a Jumping between 180 till 45 or lower.

- Set Scale to 200% could be less 125% could be less

- Disable MLAA

- Disable DOF

- Set all following Quality Settings to hight, it do not have everything on max quallity - it depends on your components in your PC

- Disable Anisotropic Filtering by moving the Slider to the left Side.

 

TruckersMP Launcher 

- Graphics - DISABLE FAKE SHADOWS 

- Graphics - set to Medium or less. 

-  try unclick some of them as Cabin Accesories in another trucks, Flags, and draw distance reduce to min. 

- Development Logging  

- Smoothing Distance

- Load Cabin Accessoires

- Load Flags

- Aditional Lights

- Draw Distance 

 

Also please remember, that FPS will drop dramaticlly if you are close or passing a really busy area, once you have crossed the area you will be fine.

 

As last step you can try to re-install your graphics drivers  or re-install TMP Launcher

Every computer has its own best performance settings. But I will recommend a few settings for an average gaming computer:

 

ETS2 GRAPHICS SETTINGS

 

 

Resolution: Try lowering it if FPS is low.

Scaling: Keep it at 200%, but lower if necessary.

MLAA, HDR, Depth of Field, Sunshafts: Turn these off.

Reflection Quality & Mirror Quality: Set both to low. (If needed)

Texture Quality: Medium or low.

Anisotropic Filtering: Keep it low.

Shadow Quality: Set to low.

 

TRUCKERSMP SETTINGS

 

 

Draw Distance: Lower it to reduce FPS drops.

Additional Lights/Beacons: Consider reducing or disabling these.

Season Effects (if enabled): Disable for better performance.

 

OTHER SETTINGS

 

Drivers: Check for driver updates. This may increase your FPS.
