scout car Pilot or Scout Car's RULES

Hi everyone,

 

I know this might be more suited for a support ticket, but I’d like to hear from other players.

 

I think the main use of the Scout/Pilot car in TruckersMP is to escort trucks by leading or following a convoy. I understand the rules around this.

 

But there's something else I am curious about it beside escorting.

 

Can the Scout/Pilot car also be used to warn truckers about accidents, blockages, or dangers ahead and more situations?

 

Can the Scout/Pilot car assist trucks with fuel stopping or managing traffic laws? Are there any specific roles it can play in keeping the convoy safe or moving smoothly? What should drivers avoid doing when using the Scout/Pilot car?

Read the rules, they are crystal clear about that:

 

§1.9 - Backseat moderation

It is the role of our moderation staff to seek out and identify offences on our platforms while they are managing the TruckersMP community. Do not take matters into your own hands. If you see something that breaks the rules, please report the post, topic or user on the appropriate system.

 

§2.6 - Inappropriate Convoy Management / Car Abuse*

Convoys are expected to follow all TruckersMP rules without altering the normal traffic flow. Convoy pilots are not permitted to slow down, block, control traffic and act as a staff member or otherwise abuse the pilot scheme paint job. It's not permitted to organise a convoy in the following areas when highly populated: Kirkenes quarry (ProMods map), the Duisburg to Calais road, and in the cities of Calais and Duisburg. More than 5 players driving together is classed as a convoy.

Pilot cars are not allowed to warn, managing traffic laws etc.

This will go under the rule §1.6 - Impersonation of any kind and you can get banned for it for impersonating a Game Moderator, however you can escort people with heavy loads around the map.
