Birthdays on TruckersMP - Special Display for Players

 Suggestion Description:

Good evening, everyone ! I would like to propose the introduction of a new feature that allows players to mark their birthdays directly within the TruckersMP universe. This feature would enable users to share their birthdays with the community, adding a festive and personalized element to the gaming experience. It would enhance the personal touch while fostering stronger conections among community members. 

Profile Customization
A new selection could be added to the account settings on the TruckersMP Website, where players can enter their birthday. This information would be used solely to trigger festive elements in the game on their birthday. Players would have full control to modify or remove this information at any time, and could choose whether their birthday is visible  to all other players or only to themselves. 

 

In-Game Notifications and Visual Elements
On a player's birthday, several unique visual elements would be activated. A small festive icon, such as a candle or cake, would appear next to their In-Game username, visible above their truck. Additionally, when they send a message in the chat, a special icon would appear next to their username, encouraging the community to celebrate the occasion with them. 

Private Celebration Option
For players who prefer not to display their birthday to the entire community, an additional option could be offered. If the player has entered their birthdate on the Truckers MP Website but wishes to keep it Private In-Game, a special animation could be triggered exclusively for them. For instance, upon logging into the game on their birthday, a festive animation featuring confetti or balloons could appear on their screen, accompanied by a personalized message wishing them a Happy Birthday. This would provide a private yet joyful celebration, adding a personalized moment of happiness to their gaming experience. 

Privacy Options
This feature would be entirely optional and fully customizable. Players could choose to enable or disable the display of their birthday and could opt out of the festive elements if they prefer to keep a low profile.

 Why should it be added ?

This feature would introduce a festive and social dimension to TruckersMP, fostering stronger bonds within the community by allowing players to celebrate  personnal milestones. It would also inject a new dynamic into The Game, making the experience more engaging and enjoyable for all.

Thank you for your Message. I completely understand your concerns regarding privacy and personal  preferences. That's why i suggested that this feature be entirely optional. Players would have the choice not to display their birthday in The Game, and The Date would never be publicly visible unless you decide to share it. 

 

I want to emphasize that This Feature is intended to be fun and festive, but it is by no means mandatory. If it's not something that interests you, you can  easily disable it and continue playing as usual, without any interruptions.

This is actually a small thing, but it's a thoughtful idea. It can make most players smile and help foster camaraderie among them. I think it can increase the sense of belonging within the community. Nice suggestion.

I absolutely love the idea! However, I do have one concern.

I feel like this could be easily abused by players to make it look like its their birthday every day.

Just a minor thing but it'll probably happen. I think a cooldown on modifying your birthday could fix this.

Many people can do this, but as you mentioned, a time limit could be imposed. For example, each account could have a permanent limited number of changes or an annual change right, etc.

Not a bad suggestion as long as you have the option to remove the year of your birthday so it only shown DD/MM.

 

As mentioned, people could abuse the system so a very simple answer would be you cannot change your birthday (why would you need to? your birthday Never changes) the only thing you could change is the privacy whether to show it or not..

Yeah good point. In this case, maybe you should only be allowed to change it once then, every 12 months.
