Ditere Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I've recently noticed that there is a lot of traffic when it comes to the Duisburg's 'centre'. I believe that this segment can be changed a bit. Do you guys have any ideas to improve the current intersection(s)?
Big Week Posted July 16 Posted July 16 They won't change anything because Duisburg has just been renovated
Hawkmusen Posted July 16 Posted July 16 No matter how wide it is, I think it will not reduce the density.
kelt_kreqht Posted July 16 Posted July 16 First of all, hello @Ditere; Various revisions have been made on the map for a long time, many people like you thought that the congestion between Calais and Duisburg roads could be solved with various area expansions. They were not only related to narrow roads or areas, but also to the movements of the players and their non-compliance with the rules. Many people, including me, understand it. What I mean to say is that although the thoughts and suggestions of our companions like you are important, I would like to inform you that this is not the only problem. CagriTR4 Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Not just this way. The railway is one of the places where the biggest traffic has been experienced recently.

Maybe they'll revamp the entire thing again if it's uncontrollable later
KittyYiouo Posted July 18 Posted July 18 What if you wanna go from top of the roundabout to the right (let's say to the service station), you either have to make the lane change to the right with all the traffic entering from the freeway, or you have to make that right turn from the internal lane to that service station, which both are equally dangerous when there are exceeded amound of players. Imo, a better approach would prob just be revamping the entire thing to an all-way-stop sign intersection, so basically whoever arrives first goes first (or "first in first out" if you want it to be described more briefly), like this:
Interstate Nomad Posted July 19 Posted July 19 In Europe, the 4-way-stop intersection is generally uncommon, as roundabouts and priority-to-the-right rules are more prevalent for managing traffic. Implementing a 4-way-stop in the densely populated city of Duisburg in TruckersMP would likely lead to delays and potential confusion among drivers unaccustomed to this traffic control method.
Emisariusz Posted July 23 Posted July 23 No matter how it is modified, it will always be the busiest place[cd road]

It might during quiet hours honestly but, knowing people on the C-D Road and how their actually drive, it will just end up being packed so yeah, you are right about that comment. Nova1633 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Hello! I don't think it will change because it has just been rebuilt, and a large part of the congestion is caused by drivers who don't follow the rules, causing a lot of congestion. However, it has become commonplace on CD roads.
