Proposal name: Unify reports: No more web, long live In-Game

Description of suggestions: Why maintain two separate reporting systems when there is already one in play and one on the website? The goal is to simplify by consolidating everything into a single reporting system.

Why should it be added: On TMP, as mentioned earlier, there are two reporting systems: one in play and one on the website. Unfortunately, the system is often overlooked.

I therefore propose to remove the reporting system via the website to focus only on the system at stake. This would involve extending the validity of in-game reports from 15 minutes to 7 days, as is the case for reports on the website.

Although the web system offers traceability by allowing staff to process reports at any time within 7 days, the idea would be to reproduce this traceability directly in the game. In-game reports would remain active until processed by a staff member and would not be automatically deleted, prompting staff to spend more time in-game with the community rather than processing reports remotely through the website.

In terms of managing moderator roles, consideration should be given to how they could access the in-game reporting system without other permissions, or whether their current role should be changed or removed. It’s an open question, and I think the community can come up with alternatives.

What do you think? Are you for or against this proposal?

This would be simply impossible to add because you forget a minor detail that is the demo which is stored temporary on the server, currently there is not enough storage to keep the reports open for 7 days

and with the income of reports it will be 1000ths and it will eventually overrun the server. it would be to costly to keep this running and in the end it will be total waist of the recourses.

hence why we have 2 options to report in-game which is stored temporary or website which is stored for much longer.

And to add to what Warrior says, even if we extended the time the reports is on the server, they would still run out and disappear. On the website that never happens. By making a report on the website you are sure your report will be looked at. And we also use the website report system to train moderators, by making them web report moderators before they might become in game moderators.  And as said by Warrior, the server just dosent have the space for that many reports. Each report takes up space and if they would never be deleted in game or stay there for 7 days, the server would run up in the thousands of reports very quickly and it would just never end. If you are suggesting this because you make in game reports and want them dealt with, i suggest you record your game play instead and make web reports.

This is counter productive and would take even longer for reports to be given an action.

There's a small percentage of admins in game. Compare it to 2,000-4,000 players. They get 90-100 in game reports during busy hours. Majority of those reports time out and inform you to make a web report within 7 days of when it happened. Which will be seen and handled by Report Moderators.

Taking away the web report system would also put 37 Report Moderators out of work. https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/search/&type=core_members&joinedDate=any&group[30]=1

If anything, more admins are needed to handle the amount of in game reports they get so that none time out.

Why? so the reports can time out and you be fine acting like a tool?
