Lazy Driver Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Is it just me or do u guys think the Renault e-tech brakes are really bad? When u brake, it feels like there's a 1-2 seconds latency. And when i dont push the gas, my speed doesn't decrease for a while. These are huge minuses unfortunately.
Alfeo Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Yes, in Renault E-TECH, when you press the brake, it detects it after 1 or 2 seconds, and when you release the throttle, it sticks for 1 or 2 seconds, and this is a big problem. TruckersMP Profile | TruckersMP Forum Profile
Lazy Driver Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 I hope they will fix it asap. Because currently im not having fun when i drive Renault E-Tech.
ppabli Posted June 19 Posted June 19 The reason for this behavior is that, unlike traditional trucks where the braking system acts immediately when the brake pedal is pressed, in the case of the electric Renault, when braking, it first tries to apply maximum regeneration. This slows down the vehicle while recharging the batteries, and only if this system is not sufficient does the traditional braking system activate. While this is a realistic implementation, driving this new type of truck requires an adaptation process, during which we may notice strange and annoying behavior. On the other hand, I also think that being the first electric truck implemented for the game, the systems are not yet fully refined or adapted. I am convinced that in the near future, the game will offer better systems or configurations to adapt these behaviors to our preferences. 1

Davina Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Not experienced any delay myself. There is a thread on SCS fora explaining how to set up realistic braking. You assign a key to engine brake & primarily use that for deceleration, not the friction brakes pedal, then you can use cruise as normal & when cruise is off you have one pedal driving emulation. 1
crlsil Posted June 30 Posted June 30 It's the same as electric cars.,When you release the electric door, there is braking force to start braking.,When you step on the brake, the braking force will be added.,But this recognition in the game seems to be a little slower.,But it should be fully adapted after a while. 1
Foobrother Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I would have expected them to map the retarder controls to the regenerative braking system of the truck. That said I don't know if you can control the strength of the regenerative braking on the truck in real life? But I would be VERY surprised if you can't. 1
RIDIBARO Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) Yes, in reality, braking in electric vehicles works differently, but in the game, it's far from realistic. The problem isn't the delay, but rather that it doesn't respond to a certain braking force, and once that's exceeded, it starts braking with the full force you apply. So currently, the braking on this truck is unmanageable. I've tried braking in several different ways, but the problem is always the same: it starts braking with unexpected force. However, I should add that this only happens at low speeds; I don't experience this issue at higher speeds. Moreover, sometimes the braking works normally, although it's rare, it does happen. Yeah, and sometimes the acceleration doesn't work either. In my opinion, this is currently a bug in the game. --- I've figured out that it has something to do with the automatic transmission. In ETS, as I see it, the brake only works with an electric motor. So, if you downshift from 12th to 4th gear, the braking force will be that much stronger. However, this isn't normal operation, because with such a maneuver in the game, I can stop faster than with any other vehicle, causing accidents behind me. A manual transmission isn't a solution since this truck also has an automatic transmission in reality. Sorry for my English. Edited July 18 by RIDIBARO Additional text. 1

Fren yaptığınızda 1-2 saniyelik bir gecikme varmış gibi hissediyorsunuz. Ve gaza basmadığımda hızım bir süre azalmıyor. Bunlar ne yazık ki büyük eksiler. There is no delay, I use it in daily games, there is no problem, they may have fixed it with new updates or they will fix it in future updates, it is normal since it is new.
