why is truckersmp so slow with updating to new game versions??

The 1.50 version has been in beta for almost 1 month so I don't get it why they don't work on the update during the beta period and roll it out as soon as the stable release comes out.

The 1.50 was only beta for singleplayer and it still had 1.49, SCS has released 1.50 today so of course TMP has to work to make the 1.50 release compatible with TMP, and this takes time

The beta version could have many bugfixes during development. That could possibly change the binary of main executable. Such frequent binary change is the main reason why open/experimental betas aren't supported.

I understand that you want everything right away, but as players we just want it, but we don't see, we don't know what difficulties are behind the scenes of this project or how laborious it is to work on it, and believe me, not everything is as easy as it seems, some things require effort, labor, teamwork. scs announced and released 1.50 and now TruckersMP continues its work at full speed to bring 1.50 to the TruckersMP community as fast as possible, I think we just need to be patient and respect the work done.

the beta version is updated almost daily so it is impossible to create a multiplayer version since it will be obsolete the next day

As Teddy rightly said, there's a lot of work behind it that isn't announced or publicized.
Not to mention that the TruckersMP team has to stop working on the updates they're doing for themselves in order to deal with this update.

 

Now we just have to wait.
In my honest opinion, I think it will take as long as it takes for us to have the best possible experience.

It's called a BETA for a reason. This allows SCS to gather feedback and find bugs. Sure wouldn't want the game crashing while doing an important delivery...

 

Just be patient. TMP adapts updates more quicker when it's just map changes. When it's a core system change, it takes longer. The orange banner will either be gone or turn green when it's supported.

I never wanted to play TMP in the BETA. I just mentioned that the developers could have updated TMP to the BETA so it doesn't take too long when the full version comes out (they obviously shouldn't release the tmp beta build!)

There are tonnes of things to be worked uppon for newer versions as well as this is a voluntary work for the team so they have real life as well to look first.

That will never happen. TMP will never update to support a beta. Once SCS releases it, TMP takes a bit of time to support it.

 

Should of been here when 1.40 was released. The new lighting system took a couple of weeks to be supported.

• Map changes: A couple of days to support. They also have an automatic system for this.
• New Features or Updates to existing features: These take longer depending on what all is added.

Downgrade if you still want to play or be patient, check back daily, and find things to do in the meantime.

The 1.50 game version has been in, and here is the keyword, Beta.

SCS does not have a legitimate testing team that is big enough. Remember that they are an indie game developer.

 

SCS games and updates are put through an Alpha test internally to make sure the core mechanics work, however; anything else is up to the Open Beta, which allows members of the public to test, bug report, and feedback on the upcoming game version.

This game version is unstable for modders like the TruckersMP team to use, as a vast amount of things could change between the Beta Release and Public Release of the game, so it would be illogical to develop many large-scale projects on this build.

 

This means that the most stable build of the game, the one that is actually a release build- is what the TruckersMP team will focus the majority of their time on, and unfortunately, we receive this at the same time as you!

I hope this explains some of the delays when upgrading the TruckersMP services/servers/map/mod to the latest game version!

Unfortunately, nobody can say for sure. The developers are working hard to provide us with the new update.

I think we players should be patient. The 1.50 update to the game is a very big update and it must be difficult to integrate it into TruckersMP. I think the TruckersMP Team is doing their best.

I agree that the speed should be faster but at the same time its still in the beta phase which kind've makes sense. Everything takes time so us as player should be patient. They want everything to be bug free before releasing the update.
