We are proud to announce that a new version 0.2.5.0.1 has been released focusing on bringing improvements and fixes to the new chat system!

 

Chat Features

• Added a setting for a preferred position of HUD elements on the screen. By default, they are automatically positioned based on the vehicle interior variant

  • For example, the chat window is positioned on the right side of the screen when the UK variant of the interior is used

  • This can also be modified via the interface settings

• Added an option to retain the input text after closing and opening the chat window

• Fixed issues with fractional elements in the new chat HUD. Under specific scaling, the message background no longer overlaps each other or creates gaps

• Fixed the chat history being reset after loading a save

• Removed the game moderator name/placeholder from the ban message

This was something i also mentioned in my feedback, Thank you for such a fast update! Also made a few other suggestions so looking forward to the new chat. One question: How do you use emoji’s? (I’ve only seem somebody use a heart)

@ShawnCZek & the rest of the team THANK YOU for adding adjustable font size to the chat window - I have an eyesight disability & during bouts of straining to peer at the tiny chat font I was often at risk of either having a collision or causing one (n fact I did get a ban as a result on at least one occasion).
