prebow Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 I feel like there are truckers that dont want to play in the nighttime during the daytime, or they dont want to play in the daytime during the night time in real life, so, there shall be an option in the settings to spoof game time as the selected UTC timezone.
L-DR@GO Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 Naa!!! i don't think that is a good idea... imagine it's supposed to be nighttime... but you have the day configured ....... that will lead to more accidents... not all lanes are double ... how can you want realism... yet you want timezone to be manually configured
Tеddy Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 Hello, @prebowed I understand you, but I can't say I agree with your idea because it would take the game beyond reality. Almira xeltz. Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 Hi , @prebowed I'm here to help you. g_set_skybox | 1>5 will allow you to adjust the degree of clouds in the air. g_set_climate albedo will make night day. Attention: g_set_climate albedo > When you do this, the colours will mix and you will not get the image you want. 1
Emirhan37 Posted August 2, 2023 Report Posted August 2, 2023 That would be so illogical and unrealistic. 1 2 Kind Regards, Emirhan37, Veteran Driver II, Forum Profile - Steam - TruckersMP Profile Unsure on the rules? | Reporting someone? | Need to appeal a ban?
quln Posted August 3, 2023 Report Posted August 3, 2023 Hello, I don't agree with you because this will reduce the game realism and also this might be increase the accidents. 1 Kind regards, Social: Useful Links: quln. kocalparslan97 Posted August 3, 2023 Report Posted August 3, 2023 As a simulation game, Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) and American Truck Simulator (ATS) aim to provide an immersive and realistic experience for players. The inclusion of day-night cycles and related time periods adds to the overall reality of the game. The transition from day to night and vice versa adds depth to the virtual trucking experience by repeating the difficulties and unique atmospheres of driving at different times of the day. Players can encounter various road conditions, changing traffic patterns and changing visibility, reflecting real-life time periods in the game, all of which enrich the game dynamics. This approach also promotes a global sense of trucking, as players from different regions may experience different difficulties with time when navigating virtual roads. While we appreciate the desire for customization and convenience, we believe that adhering to the in-game day-night cycle further enhances the immersive aspect of the simulation. It also encourages players to adapt their driving strategies and schedules according to the time of day, making the experience more engaging and original. Sunstrider Posted August 3, 2023 Report Posted August 3, 2023 https://map.truckersmp.com/ shows you the current time in the server. No one's forcing you to play at night. Find a company to park up at and just move a little bit forward and backward (to not be afk kicked). When it's bright enough, set off. Your suggestion won't be considered because you didn't follow the format. Night is apart of the planet. Know how we skip time irl? We sleep. Also works in single player.
stari123 Posted August 4, 2023 Report Posted August 4, 2023 I get your point but it's not very good to implement that - Imagine about all the Trucks Driving with high beams and some can see better than others - People will just tend to crash more often due to bad visibility and stuff.
Leon Baker Posted August 23, 2023 Report Posted August 23, 2023 Hello @prebow, Thanks for the suggestion. However, this has already been suggested: Sincerely, Leon Baker Community Manager // Rejected
