Hello! Since everyone is always talking about the same topics like :

reports,calais-dusiburg,game crash,ban excc..

 

I would like to bring a different topic, which so far I haven't seen anyone talking about it,although in my opinion it is interesting.
I would like to immerse myself in total simulation and be like a real driver (although I already do it professionally)... and I would like to talk about the tachograph that everyone has in their truck,but unfortunately no one uses or can't use because it is fake. It is a pity,because maybe those few left who like simulation and regular driving,it could be interesting and fun to use together with friends,to make trips etc. Respecting as in reality the driving times,rest times and the daily obligatory breaks.

Obviously is not for everyone,as from what I understand this game has become a racing game...and maybe for someone colud be boring...

Hello!
There is a the sleep/fatigue feature in ETS2. But I guess most of the people just don't activate it on TMP because most drive on CD (or Promods Kirkenes quarry road) where you have long queues and since you can't stop anywhere on the side of the road to sleep/rest (like in reality) it's slightly dangerous to drive on that road with this feature activated. And, between us, it's already mess over there! No need of this feature to have people crashing into each other 

 

But yes it's definitely nicer driving with this feature activated. But sometimes it's frustrating as you need a rest, you can see nice places to park and rest, but these are not proper spots to rest for ETS2.

You won't find many but nevertheless dedicated realism "fanatics" in this community.

Being a fan of realistic simulation myself, I have created a topic about driving times, breaks and rest periods in Europe.

 

 

Regarding the tachograph, I'd love to see such a feature implemented in TruckersMP. It would boost realism to a new level!

I think there exist one for singleplayer.

I'd love to see an idea for a Tachograph implemented into the game, but I'm not sure how it'd work. As we all know, ETS2/ATS are games, and to restrict driving time would most likely result in players getting bored of the game.

 

I'm interested in seeing if something like this could be implemented though!

Yes, I agree. If everyone enables the fatigue option, the accident rate would significantly increase in any location, although it would make it more realistic.

Or just make it a server side config so nobody can override it.

First of all thank you for taking the time to ask this question. 

 

I agree with what you said in this topic. But I don't know how much is possible and how realistic it can be for many players who do not even respect the rules in the game. Only for those few players who see this game as a simulator but more like a racing game. There are few people who really know how to use this video game for the right purpose.  However, if you think you are suggesting this idea, you could put a topic in the suggestions section.
