Hello!

 

Are you for or against two lanes in each direction in Calais-Duisburg road?

Justify your answer.

 

Many players on that road cause accidents when overtaking. In some more dangerous points of the road, in my opinion, it is right to add an extra lane for each direction of travel. And you... what do you think?

I honestly preferred more the new C-D that they put in on April 1...even if it was just an April Fool's Day,the work done was a lot and for me it was better...no more slowing down,stopping in the middle of the road,ramming,inapropriate overtaking and reckless driving...and on top of that there was also a huge space to stop and take a break or refuel...something that is currently missing and creates big traffic jam bc all they want to go in the fuel station...

i like the idea however when the lanes go into one you would have the issue of players pushing in again just like at the beginning of the route

Accidents dont happen cause its both ways they are happening cause people wont let other players overtake them. Or because everyone drives fast and normaly it is 60 or 70 is the limit so they come to face to fave so easy. But bothway roads are good and have different vibe

I think the same thing. But at least many players could overtake in places where they do not create danger to others.

3 lanes both ways. remove the fuel stations or at least make them off slip roads. and a big truckstop in the middle. 

and ban the cars

Adding more lanes on the C-D road should definitely be implemented to reduce the risk of accidents

I'm not convinced adding more lanes will do anything to reduce the amount on crashes.

 

The best example is around Calais between the city and the first set of traffic lights. The two directions are separated by a guard rail and there's two lanes in each direction, just like a possible new CD-road. 

Yet, there are always crashes and blockages on that road. People who use that road want the chaos and will continue to create it, no matter what. Fighting it is wasted effort.

Just like in real life, adding more lanes almost never actually helps or has the desired effect.

Poor driving will still be present and cause accidents that will lead to congestion/slow downs - especially during peak hours.
