'unable to connect to api server' multiplayer login page

Loaded up ets2mp and usual procedure to log in, chose my server that I wanted to connect to and it took longer than usual before loading up an error screen saying 'unable to connect to api server'. I've closed and opened to try again - still no luck. Chose a different server - still no luck. How can I resolve this or is it a bug? any help would be great!

Restart you internet. :

Try to set off internet then switch on, after that open game and try again.

If that doesn't work please try to reinstall the mod.
